    A lot of pre-WOW players!

I just came back to Eorzea from couple of months break and I noticed there are a lot of WoW players joined/joining our FC recently. I know nothing about WoW but is there anything going on there? Are there not enough contents in WoW anymore? They sometime call themselves wow refuge but I am not sure why they call themselves as a refuge Regardless, it is good to see so many new players with sprout on top of their head!

There's been trends with WoW development over the past couple of expansions that have angered or disenfranchised a good portion of the player base. In addition, Blizzard has been a part of some pretty hefty scandals in recent times, which has also put off a lot of people. With those things, a fair amount of people left WoW for XIV "refugees". This isn't a new phenomenon; many many many long-term XIV players played WoW to one degree or another in the past and came here when their time in WoW was over. What's most noticeable is the rate of increase in refugees when some high-profile streamers started playing XIV rather than WoW. A large number of people made the switch as well, which is why we're seeing the surge in the player base.

Don't forget your watering can if you're playing with Sprouts!

Blizzard is replacing painting of womens with fruits.

Thus, they leave because they do not like fruits.

I was a seedling 1 month ago. 17 days from 1 to 80. I don't know if that is fast or not.

whoa. I didn't know that. I feel like I am way behind with all these new changes. I wouldn't mind watering our little sprouts of course! I can tell they quite like their new place. Ah btw, some "wow refuge" told me FF14 seems too easy compare to WoW. Is it true or is it because they haven't come across our savage raid yet? I am not sure if it is just me but I sometime find even 24man raid bit challenging not to mention some of CEs in Bozja.

Nice! I am super casual so it took me couple of month to hit the max level. Is levelling easier in FF14 compare to WoW?

Just do MSQ full time. It has more than enough xp to level. I completely ignore blue quests unless MSQ needs the dungeon until Lv80. Unlocks will be faster when you bully the mobs anyway.

I did not level new toons on WoW after they squish the levels to 60. I heard it is fast. Shadowlands is unreasonable with many things though. You'll get burnt out at level cap due to a lot of grind and timegate. You don't even have time to level alts.

It's a matter of personal opinion, but many people, especially players who have more recently been involved in WoW, feel XIV's gameplay is too slow and/or too easy, yes. The teams for each game have different design philosophies, which is reflected in group content; especially raids. Since the previous expansion Battle for Azeroth, WoW's focused on hardcore/heavy progression/increasingly challenging content so it's my guess that many people who've recently left are used to that sort of thing and/or stuck with WoW because they liked that kind of content. To understate things; there's an undercurrent of dissatisfaction with how casual-friendly XIV is within the "refugee community" that's vocal here on the forums. Players voicing that sentiment often come across as wanting XIV to change into something akin to FF-WoW 2.0 which causes a decent amount of conflict among the more staunch/long-time XIV players. Watch your head in these threads.
