No amount of stomping your feet in is going to force SE to revert the changes to Summoner and bring back dots with super fun pet ghosting. Yeah, that wasn't braindead at all, it was a sign of *skill!*

Anyway the whole rest of the world is celebrating the rework so the most likely scenario is that Summoner will go on to be one of the most popular, played, and well-liked jobs of 6.0, just like how Dancer was in 5.0. The vast majority of people loved both Dancer and Machinist when they got their respective reworks and most would agree they are some of the more fun classes in game.

Old Summoner was a far cry from what a lot of people would consider "fun" compared to the entire rest of available jobs you can choose from that don't suffer from janky mechanics. This whole "stop the wedding!" vibe some of these posts have is really starting to get old. Move on, or wait till 7.0 for Necromancer to come out because goodness knows us real Summoners had to wait 8 years for our job to finally be added to the game.
