On the topic of Tail Hiding

I already said that I don't have any interest in playing a tail-less race in my first post.
I have a vested interest in playing Hrothgar and they are being plagued by clipping issues that can be resolved with one elementary addition to player customization options.
What you mentioned is in no way a compromise, a compromise is when a mutual solution is found that satisfies both sides to a conflict at least to a degree.
You claim you are concerned with visual aesthetic, yet in what way would clipping ever make more sense considering it is a visual discrepancy?
I am just not able to process your line of reasoning here.

It's a compromise. Clipping is there to keep the visual consistency of the race(s). Think of viera, they (SE) could just hide the ears, and then hats would be available. Instead of doing so, they have kept ears visible, to stay consistent. The compromise is no hats.

I choose to play a tailed race as well, I glamour around the tail; I do not wear outfit pieces that look jarring due to clipping. If I can't wear a few pieces: so be it.

Well I'm sorry, but when a discrepancy exists then an actual solution is warranted. I see no reason why I should deny myself of a significant portion of item models just to avoid clipping issues for my favorite race, that could be otherwise easily circumventable.
