Not to forget that a lot of people (not necessarily here, but on other platforms as well) that defend EW Sunmoner have barely or not at all touched SMN, from what conversations I had. 'Now I can finally play Summoner because it looks cool!'. Those who actually played the Job through all the expansions that raise concerns or simply say they'll miss things automatically are 'whiners', despite stocking with the Job through it all. Whew.

I played this game sense 1.0 from ARR until now. your right playing summoner is uncool. you have floating lalafel chicken nugget thing flying around. your dot aren't exciting ruin is boring. most of the time you just stand there doing hardly nothing casting raise on dead people most of time summoners don't do it like they have anything important to to do? remember virus? that ability that cross-class ability everyone else hand but you seem cant get it on cause returns. i do. I played every final fantasy until 14 even 11 don't sit there tell me they cant make pets look cosmicly decent not some floating chicken nugget that is ugly. back then bio and masima didnt even have animation if it did was boring. only cool spells you had was fester/shadow flare rest of it was hot garbage.

this hot garbage continue'd heavenward not so bad at least you got bahamut.. right? no you just got really nasty big rotation that down right frustrating to do. this only intensified. - remember tribind no one liked tribind. yet someone in squire-enix really!! liked that spell to bad no player base didn't finally squire enix desides to listen to pleas of players have love for final fantasy series they made summoner feel like summons. all i hearing/reading bunch of people crying/whining fussing. you should be happy! how ungrateful. we waited 10 long years for this. 10 long years. have summoner be summoner.

As I stated from page 1, I'm hyped for summoner in Endwalker, just sad about the DoTs. God beware people actually played FFXIV SMN because they liked it!

I have no idea about Warlock as I never played WoW, but you aggressively telling people to go play WoW comes across as very hostile. FFXIV Summoner had poison as part of the Arcanist identity from the class quests, is it so hard for you to grasp that people liked how a Job was in FF XIV without making a connection to WoW?

And now you have ugly Egis, Raise, Ruin, Fire Ruin, Wind Ruin, Earth Ruin, Bahamut Ruin and Phoenix Ruin! Yay!

Yeah, at this point there's nothing to gain from engaging with the same people who think the sky is falling when it comes to summoner. My position is unchanged. The old version of the class was a boring mechanical disaster on par with old machinist. I levelled the class during Shadowbringers and found myself questioning just what was going on in the room when they made this job. Needless to say I didn't touch it again after hitting 80 and ended up playing a lot of Black Mage and Red Mage instead, because by that point I determined this dish tasted bad and sent it right back to the kitchen.

If for whatever reason someone is so attached to dot mage, WoW is releasing patch 9.15 in the near future so you can go fulfill your Warlock fantasy over there instead of trying to keep summoner stuck in time with no way forward. They even have Legion timewalking dungeons coming around the time that Endwalker releases! There you can keep all your poison magic and models for everyone that are about as complex as egis are. The ultra elite and convoluted gameplay you seek is waiting there in Azeroth.

So goodbye, all of us real summoners are ready and willing to take your places. And we're not sorry for "taking away your job!" When it was already taken from us the minute they decided to make it a poison mage with nothing cool to do until level 70. New summoner gets a good gameplay loop starting from its arcanist days, a shame I'll be boosting my alts to 80 but hopefully I can sync down and experience that early gameplay at some point. It's an objective success, and no amount of pleading will change the class back to its broken state, or worse yet Heavensward gameplay.

We all get it YOU and a few others hate the changes. How about stop trying to ruin others' fun or excitement? So instead of trying to bring ppl down to your level just leave them along and allow them to be excited. Guess what the changes is happening and there is nothing you and other doomsayers can do to stop it. The dev team had to and have made the decision and this is the smn we going to have for the next two years. If you want to criticize it fine but how about offering some structural criticism and offer suggestions to make smn better instead of just whining you just hit the same button over and over, and the spell effects are ugly. Also, I still say how about yall hold your judgments and wait to actually play the job.
