I see the thread title and I think of the DPS and healers that like to rush ahead. Chill and let a tank lock in their aggro.

What's with all the snail pace people?
This isn't the classic days of WoW dungeons where you had to sheep one, sap one, then down the one standing there looking like an idiot while his buddies are sapped and polymorphed, rinse and repeat. This is the what's CC? AoE everything down then kill the boss days. That's why people are about speed. You won't wipe if you don't take it slow anymore. Trash mobs don't pose any real threat unless your healer DCs or you try to tank with all your gear broken, and even then the healer might still be able to keep you and the party alive thru it all.
Really? This again? What are these people trying to drown?
whenever you join a dungeon just play this song it helps

But yeah, I second this. Gotta go fast! c:
The person who doesn't have a main class or character.
we have all these mitigation tools,Healing and AOE
we wanna use em
The better question to this almost daily/weekly thread is:
"Why can't you people just talk like adults at the start of the dungeon to see what everyone is comfortable doing, then just do that?"
5 drone spawning pool. Make 6 zerglings and attack! Oh wait, this is not Starcraft.
Fast is good! Not until they are too much for the tank though.

I don't personally care that much, there are some dungeons where people assume more will be pulled together since the mobs in them don't hit very hard at all and die very fast (ie: Matoya's Relict and most post-capstone dungeons, leveling dungeons can sometimes hit a lot harder).
If someone's new, or someone's going slow, I might ask if we can pull a little more and in the former (or latter) case I'll just give them some basic guidelines to how to pull more safely, especially if the rest of the party wants the pace to be a little faster. It's usually a really good idea to present yourself as friendly, maybe make some chit chat, you know -- make a stress-less environment. If we all die? Oh well, maybe mention some tips if you noticed something, make some jokes, redirect fault to yourself if it'll help everyone stay a bit more optimistic and willing to keep trying something that just killed them.
But if someone doesn't want to, I don't really care. I'll go at their own pace. Maybe I'll try to covertly pull a patrol if there is one to join the group, but I won't intentionally run to the next pack to pull them in (unless I know there's 0 risk to it). Anytime I've done that, it's usually just "auto-pilot" and thinking the so far silent party is going to act as most parties do, which is holding down W (at least in endgame dungeons, leveling dungeons I usually just pay more attention to what the tank is doing/healer is up to).
To me it's more of a party decision than 1 person in the party's decision. If 3 out of 4 want the slower approach, then that's what it is. If 3/4 people want to go faster, then that's how it should go. If you play tanks, it's usually a good idea to learn how to pull more mobs (which I get can seem daunting to do, but threat won't be an issue -- it's basically just going to be managing your defensive buttons, and then focusing on your damage output so the pack dies faster as, the faster it dies, the less of a threat it is).
My tanking default is unga-bunga. I like the visual chaos of big packs, I love seeing a ton of numbers fly up on my screen, I like the Hee Hee Big Damage Dopamine. If someone asks for me to go slower, it's situational if I go for it -- if they're the healer, and I'm on a tank like GNB or DRK, I might acquiesce after asking why they want me to.
If you're the 1 out in the party, either as a "I want to go faster" or "I want to go slower" imo, you should acquiesce to the party's decision and if you still do not want to, then you should remove yourself from the duty.
