A Tank's revelation

A while ago I made a post asking what the deal was with healers always wanting tanks to pull more packs and I appreciated the answers I got, as such I levelled up a healer and jumped into a few dungeons and healers...I understand now.

I didn't realise just how boring it is for you guys if the tank pulls small.

I'm progressing my way through the Shadowbrings main quest so I haven't hit end game yet or even max level dungeons but I just wanna say thanks to all the healers out there who never once got annoyed or angry at how slow I was in those earlier dungeons when I would pull maybe 2-3 mobs and dungeons no doubt took 10+ minutes longer then they should of done.

I always now try to pull at least 3+ packs of mobs (if the dungeon allows!) if I see a non sprout healer in my dungeon. I do slow down if they say it's their first time in the dungeon of course! (Made that mistake once and wiped the group I always check chat at the start of a dungeon now lol)

It's only matter of time now before you start doing napkin math in your head realize as a tank, you don't have to move out of every AoE because some instances, the damage is so pathetic, you'll start asking if its actually possible to die.

Its only healers that get bored, I don't like AoE rotation

It's a good point. If anyone thinks that big pulls are hard then they should consider leveling a healer and not healing until the tank gets below 50%. What you discover is that it isn't very common and without big pulls you probably won't need to heal at all.

I get bored on DPS because doing my AoE rotation on 3 enemies is just boring. Fighting a war with my AoE rotation and knowing it will help the tank and healer to kill them faster though, I find that fun.

Any good healer will appreciate and the melees will appreciate it even more. Since I've been done chasing tank achieves, I've gone back to other classes and it's annoying / distracting when tanks move around so much where it's seldom needed.

Even as a tank its boring af to single pull, like for real you barely take damage CDs are useless and aoe in 1 pack is just meh

Huzzah! Finally someone gets it! This is why I recommend for everyone to play every role, you'll get a perspective of what people have to deal with and what is annoying and what isn't. Thank you OP, I now have restored hope in some tanks.

YES! Single pack pulling is… SO boring. I’m glad you understand now ahah, it’s always fun getting someone willing to learn and better themselves!

Not needing to heal at all sounds like a very good thing to me.
