I was a scholar main until this last tier when I went WHM to accommodate our new Noct AST. I raided from UCOB to Edens verse savage as a shield healer and Omega was my favorite raid/tier. The mechanics, complexity, music…and scholar was such a fun job to play. Now it’s an emaciated carcass of a dead horse and they continue to kick it in the teeth. This seems to be the general course for the healer role, minus Sage IMO. It’s kinda unfair for the other jobs, Sage can’t be the only fun healing job to play I knew something was wrong when I started enjoying content again as a tank. Healing and the developer course for it has left such a bitter taste in my mouth I can’t do it anymore. I’m giving my role back to my old longtime cohealer so he can play Sage and get more enjoyment out of it than I will in the Expansion.

All I can say is try dps/tank if you can and see if you get enjoyment out of it while we continue to voice our disdain/concerns with the current course for healers. They obviously aren’t concerned now about primarily tailoring healer jobs for casuals, but if the higher end players stop queuing for the higher tier content like savage, and PF’s get harder to fill because the casuals are reluctant to touch it they might hopefully reconsider their course. Hit them with the numbers, it’s the only thing they seem to understand. Monk, summoner, and bard got their reworks. I hope healers will too if we keep our voices heard and are persistent enough.

I'm thinking the opposite, if a lot of people FLOOD to play and main SGE in EW. They might consider moving other healers in the same direction. And that's probably a good path.
