    Yes, it has been reported.

In game (the only stated acceptable way), via the forums, and even over avenues such as Twitter, we try and report to raise developer, moderation team and player awareness.

Clearly, the methods they use to detect it, or the means by which they can accept evidence are insufficient.

This is why I believe it's important to let other players know that they should report when encountering this type of disruptive behavior, as it's specifically against the Terms of Service, and why I believe that empowering players to submit this type of evidence to the moderation team, and for them to be more open with the playerbase with what their outcomes of their investigations are is just as important.

Which thankfully they're doing come Endwalker... but how that will play out remains to be seen.

Basically if it can be manipulated, it will be.
I struggle to think of a competitive mode that will not have some avenue of manipulation. If they're able to come up with one, more power to them, but as it is I don't think it's unreasonable to suspect that the same players will be doing the same things on future modes. And if only the same methods of addressing them exist, well... How will things change?

At the very least, being able to make other players aware of the disruptive players seems like the best we are able to do at this time.

I mean, it's pretty simple really:

    - The wolf collars are a good idea. It doesn't need to be an "all or nothing" system. A mount costs XX collars. Armor costs X collars. The best players get rewarded by getting the items first but everyone can eventually get them, just like in Extremes.

    - They could still have seasonal rewards. Now I've never played Fortnite but I do know that they have seasonal items where if you miss out, you miss out. Maybe they can be available during the Moogle events because those are so few and far between, a long time has to past before they become available again.

    - Weed out the bad apples -- the win traders, the boosters, the cheaters. Strip them of their rewards and cut the rot at the core. Bad behavior shouldn't be rewarded.

    - OR conversely tie rewards to accomplishments like every other PVP mode.

They don't have to reinvent the wheel here. You want more participating in PVP? This is how you get it.

I was having a lot of fun getting back into a ranked season after so long, but then I encountered the same thing and it just made it unfun.
I don't want to lose due to this and I don't even want to win due to this. It's just not fun. It frustrates me that this happens so often and is prevalent.

I certainly wasn't the best player, but it was fun until it wasn't. I wish I could still be playing now but I can't bring myself to queue up.

Absolute same. Stuff like this is what causes people to go down an entire tier and then stop playing altogether because it takes a lot more effort to climb up than fall down. But that's what they (the win traders) want you to do. The idea is fun but the implementation is hot garbage.

A lot of this can easily be solved by putting past feast rewards in the vendor and making them purchasable via wolf marks. Sure these win traders are going to get it first but in a year or two so is the rest of the playerbase. Personally I stopped caring about PvP in general after I got the entire field commander set back in 3.0 but if those feast rewards are in the vendor I will try for them. Just a shame to see that most people who pvp legitimately are usually bumped in with these win-traders. Lets see if they will fix in EW but like I said, A LOT of this can be fixed by just putting the rewards in the vendors. It's literally why 99% of the people even pvp in the first place.

PvP wintrading is common in MMORPGs when the loser does not really lose something. FF14 is no exception here. It is a conceptional problem of the game and i doubt that SQEX will fix it.

    Cheers

Never wolf marks... you really can only argue collars here. Wolf marks are no different from poetics, and shouldn't get the best items of pvp. If SE actually bans cheating for once, it then it would be hard to even argue collars, unless you limit collars to a top 100 of sorts or something similar.

Nah, everyone should earn collars, even then. Those who participate in ranked. Top 100 shouldn't just just earn them in that scenario, they should just get the rewards much faster. I agree with wolf marks though, as it should remain a ranked PvP reward. Not landing in the top 100 shouldn't mean one is ineligible to receive everything, with time.

Yeah, I'm with the collars crowd. You earn marks just by hanging out in the home base in Frontlines (if they don't kick you). Earning collars actually makes you participate in Feast. And even if you don't win, you get something.

It's ironic because if you get top 10 in the feast, you automatically get enough collars to buy a weapon from the vendor. I've NEVER seen a top PVPer go "did you get that weapon because you earned top 10 or because you won 4 seasons of bronze?" Because at the end of the day, who cares how they earned it if eventually they did? Maybe they didn't have time to no-life it through each season but they still wanted to participate. Who knows? Why should the players be punished because of the game's faulty design?

I do think that there should be more items that you can buy with wolf marks though, and that they should be items you can sell on the marketboard. Some people sell items from extreme dungeons, let the PVP'ers have some things they can earn with too.

Because the amount of people who care about the weapons is very small. Most of the veteran players are sitting at 100+ collars waiting for the shop to be expanded. Weird that the only reward you get from playing multiple seasons is a weapon glamour that was designed to go with an armor set that was only obtainable 14-15 seasons ago
