I have seen this behavior also in ESO and SWTOR. Because the game mechanics allow it. If you give the players the choice whether they can achieve something in an efficient way or in a way that makes fun they will almost always prefer the efficient, less funny way. It is a very important task for the game designers that the efficient way also makes fun. If not, the players will hate it. And this is an area where the Blizzard devs failed badly. And when i see content like Bozja/Zandnor then the SQEX devs did not learn from Blizzard's mistakes.
Cheers

People find different things fun. I personally think pulling as much as possible is more fun than 1 or 2 packs at a time.I have seen this behavior also in ESO and SWTOR. Been doing so since 2.0 end game dungeons. I don't tend to do so in leveling dungeons, because it's a lot more strict, but max level? Absolutely.

Ah, you haven't played ESO then I see.
In ESO the normal dungeons new players are likely to select are dungeons veteran players can solo ... and that's exactly what a lot of players do. They sprint ahead, solo or 2 man the dungeon, and leave while new players may be half a dungeon back lost and confused.
They really need to make dungeons Unsoloable in ESO it's horrible.

No, I have not and that in my opinion sucks when people can do thatAh, you haven't played ESO then I see.

Blame the devs for making all dungeons simple and easy with the same basic formula.
No one has a reason to go slow.
Horrid mindset. A good dps is far more valuable (and more rare) than a tank or healer.I don't need them to clear any dungeon or normal raid/trial for that matter. They are disposable and they should be well aware of that.
If they're bad though, kick away.

A good DPS knows their place and doesn't require babysitting but it is never more valuable than a healer unless you are playing content that can be survived without one. Healers have the capacity to prevent inescapable death. A good DPS unless they are RDM can't survive any raid even if they did all mechanics correctly because raid-wide AoE-s exist. A Red mage that constantly uses GCD to heal only themselves might as well be doing less damage than a healer that is spamming nuke and using oGCD to heal party-wide, so even Vercure spamming RDM-s are not more valuable than a healer.
The same goes for tanks. They are more valuable than DPS. Whether you like it or not, the value that a Tank brings to the raid is much more than that of a 5th or 6th DPS. Swaps are not common in normal raids so usually only the MT is actively contributing to the raid's overall damage. If the boss is targeting a DPS, the healers would have to be healing a lot more on GCD instead of using their nukes which results in overall damage loss for the whole raid. Tankbusters can often lead to instant death if the DPS is not on full HP with shields applied. The boss can at any time start targeting the healer and possibly begin to interrupt their GCD casts with its basic attacks making them miserable while the DPS can't do anything about it.
