I think you are just over thinking the new abilities.
Starting after despair:

Blizz5 to transition to umbral ice3 (gains paradox? buff stack)
Thunder 4
Freeze( gains umbral hearts)
Paradox (refreshes umbral ice)
Fire5 to transition to astral fire ( no mp cost and no umbral hearts used due to transition)
Fire5 (1st umbral heart used)
Fire5 (2nd umbral heart used)
Triplecast
Flare (last umbral heart used)
Flare ( out of mana)
Convert ( gain mp)
Flare (out of mana)
Foul (instant cast...probably new trait)
Xeno

Outside of the new spells, it's literally stuff we can do now. You can replace blizz5 with blizz3 and the first fire5 with fire 3, and the others with fire4 and do the same thing
