Where is the ambition?

Oh really? Its pretty instant on my side..... But than again... Im in Germany and the EU Servers are in Germany..... so yeah. That may be it.

I can't really speak for BLM or MCH but DNC is my favorite DPS, if not favorite job overall (which switches between it an AST).
To me, DNC is a very fluid and fast pace job, with its procs and more priority-based rotation keeping things relativity more interesting then jobs with more hard set rotations.
Your comment on XIV's DNC not being like Octopath's Primerose is weird because, while she is an interesting character with a dark and troubled backstory, Dancers in that game are flashy entertainers.

Look for basic rotation guides by Desperius. I relied a lot on those when I was working on the amaro. Good enough that you're decent in a group but not worrying about bleeding edge .I mean you're not wrong, but this a bit of a cookie-cutter answer.
I can't speak for the OP, but as someone who really wants the amaro mount and has no intention of buying job skips, I have to slog through 80 levels on jobs I absolutely don't like and struggle to even learn how to play (BLM among them by the way).
Who knows, maybe a fresh perspective can help.

Play what you like - you do not HAVE to try and master all the jobs you know.

If you just want to have everything at cap so you can dump gear or get achievement. The beast tribe dailies plus hunts should be 3ish levels a week. You get into a rhythm from doing them every day and it is a quick 20 mins, unless you get the odd annoying tribe quest. Or the other choice is que for PvP and play what you enjoy and they miraculously level in the background.

I just wanted to quickly revisit this thread to thank everyone for their insight, as I've now worked these three jobs into my active leveling routine! I'm actually pretty blown away with how much I enjoy dancer, considering it's nearly macro-proof (usually a big downside to me), its rotation seems to be kept reasonable even without macros, and the flow is legitimately enjoyable! Once I found a gun and staff I liked (storm captain options) I started on Machinst and Black mage and while the bulk of those jobs' leveling will likely come in Endwalker, they're still fun in their own ways!
Blue mage I have a hard time taking seriously though since... it can't actually DO much of the game. But maybe I'll get around to it some day. I didn't include it in this thread because it's not a "real" job, but it seems more like its own minigame that I feel wholly free to ignore.
Anyway, thanks for all your informative and entertaining posts here! I'm now a fully fledged joboholic and I don't think I'll ever be able to put thIs game down now haha!

glad you enjoy the,
never use macros for playing myself, so dont consider those when I look at things to play, but enjoyment of what you are doing is what gaming is all about ^^
