The beast quests ARE the content.
The only content locked behind them is more beast quest stuff.
Also, unfortunately, they don't all have cosmetics (though they do all have minions, mounts, music, and other collectibles).
thanks for the answer, im fine with rewards like that for OPTIONAL quests, its when they put major or required content behind rep grinds that infuriate me.
The only required content is the quest with the fireball icon (main story quest) because these unlock new areas and all of the optional content in them. They don't involve grinds (unless you consider doing the story a grind, which some people do if they don't follow the story).
The blue quests are recommended because they unlock things but are not required. Beast tribe quests are blue and you work your way up to the maximum rank to get a mount and other little things. The cosmetics they usually give are to dress up as that beast tribe but sometimes it's just gear for crafting and gathering.
This is how it's supposed to be, but not how it actually is. As certain side quests have been made compulsory over time, they have retained the Q shaped quest markers instead of being updated to use meteor icons. I have posted this as a UI issue in a thread on the UI forum.
