I think it would be points for the LS, not the individuals in the LS. And with Free Companies coming, maybe this should be held off to be FC Achievements.

The achievements would not be reflected in your personal achievements but the LS achievements. And no one has been forced to join an LS at anytime. As for free companies SE needs to give us more info not the tiny bit of info they have given us. I dont see free companies overriding LS.

I think what they are saying is if LS' are going to be purely social... then any actual objectives would be free company based
I can't say for 100% certainty... But I am thinking Yoshi-p said stuff like "Building ships, owning ships, owning buildings, etc would be free company deals"
so if you are already doing group crafting... that would be the perfect place to drop in group crafting achievements

Yea this was my understanding of how it would be. LS is social stuff you could have multiples of, Free companies are your "business" so to speak.

Anyways as far as achievements go, I think they would be fine as long as a majority didn't revolve around needing a huge group size. It might be interesting to have something like "This LS has defeated Ifrit under 10 minutes", "This Linkshell has at least one of every craft at 50", to help out people that are looking for LS's as it brings more of them into the limelight or shows off skilled players, even lesser known ones. If they add LS/FC buildings the achievement awards could even add decorations you could set up.
