Now that you mention it, you reminded me of another story that I wanted to wrote last night but I forgot to! It basically what your reply describes:

It was a run consisting of 32+ players. Brionac & Helldiver down, I called for my party: NW. Shortly after I see 2 more quadrant being called out except SW (lol what a coincidence). I take a quick glance after we deal with the trash mobs & Albeleo; there's a group facing the Eastern site. I scrolled up again to make sure if I missed anything.... nope. Nothing out of ordinary. SW is still missing.

Anyway... once the barrier lifts off, we sprint to our assigned quadrant. I turned off other players' name so I couldn't see well enough, but I was pretty sure there were some stragglers going together with us. Nevertheless, we made a quick work of our prisoner and jump down to western site. The prisoners rescued sits at 4/6 for uncomfortably long period. We end up rescuing 5/6. SW prisoner was dead. This spurs up some salt in the chat, prompting one of them to yell: "Should've done intercardinals first. But people aren't paying attention and went to NW with us :')"

Somebody in our party went "What the -chirp-" in party chat (And myself too, internally. I mean why not?! I was the -FIRST- to call out my direction and I hear nothing out of their group.)

I replied in yell "For the record, I was the one who called NW first. That being said because I don't have names turned on I could've not seen any other players around me beside my own party.".

    And their follow up reply?
"That level of attention callout is not even needed. People just need to look and be aware to assist whichever site needs to be helped."

So which one is it? Need more attention, or nah, mate? Whatever, sure Jan. There's no talking around such individual.

I hope you enjoyed Broiling for the rest of the run as I became Super (embarrassed) Healer TM; giving you pretty much all the caster damage cards (cause there were no casters--just ranged) and putting up with party shenanigans (DPS stealing tank tethers, DPS standing outside the missile barrier, etc) without further snark. I am quick to point out people that I think are purposely AFK (there's a lot of that going on on our Datacenter for some reason) but in this case you were just ded and my raise apparently didn't go off. So, sorry for that. Hope you had a wonderful night. XD

    Still Kinda Embarrassed,

You know what annoys me, personally, in CLL?

I'll call my party's intercardinal - usually as soon as the entirety of the raid is by the door waiting for the drill to smash it, so I know it's seen in /yell.

We move into the room and begin fighting Albeleo, and I'll see someone call - in /yell! - the same damn intercardinal. There's plenty of time to have looked up to see what's already being called, y'all. And at least 40% of the time, I don't see them realize and backtrack to call a different one - at which point I have to remind them in chat.

I know reading is hard for people in this game for some reason, but come on.

Normal raid on my PLD, got Omega (again).
So other tank, a DRK, puts on tank stance so I leave mine turned off, get to the back of the boss and do my 123 thing. First Mustard Bomb cast, he drops below 30% because he took it raw, then panic uses his 30% mitigation. I Reprisal'd it but didn't have enough gauge for Intervention yet. Starboard/ Larboard comes, he gets both wrong and eats two vuln stacks. Hands spawn, he eats another vuln stack.
I see a random Rampart way before the next tankbuster, he's really low on HP, so I get to the front and voke it off him. He first runs to the side and then back to stacking with me, next tankbuster comes and he gets one shot by the cleave.
Alright, I guess I'll keep te boss for a b- nevermind, he got ressed and immediately voked while at low HP.
    Sure, have your boss back.
Next Starboard/ Larboard and he adds another two to his existing two vuln stacks, tankbuster comes aaand he's dead. Again.
That's how you do a tank swap: just die. c:
Oh, and we almost wiped to the Level Checker. I'm pretty sure the cast animation already went out when it died.

Sometimes I wonder if people notice anything at all. If I have 4 vuln stacks my first thought isn't "I should really tank this boss, especially now that I don't even have mitigation!". Nor would I voke a boss when I'm at low HP and vuln stacks unless the other tank positioned the boss in a way that's clearly detrimental for the party. Then I'd voke and worst case, blow invuln, position the boss and Shirk.

Man, I hate it when I start talking like some sort of tutorial NPC and still get ignored.

Remember to use Holy on mobs to stun them! Debuffs with a white line over them can be cleared with Esuna! Instead of applying Regen individually to each person, try Medica II!

Followed by them using Cure I and Regen exclusively the entire dungeon. I'd say I don't know why I bother, but I do. Many people listen. But imagine ignoring most of the buttons you're given in favour of a very boring way to play the game. (I'd say also ignoring job quests, but you gotta have Esuna, at the very least.)

On a lighter note, I reminded someone else to use Holy and they said something like "Roger o7" and started using it, it was cute.

But I did use all my buttons... (I just forgot to target the tank first so I used them all with one of the mobs targeted)

Holy and Medica II ain't need any target.

I feel you, though. Accidental self-benedictions always hurt.

I did the exact thing everytime I'm leading a party too: calling out my intercardinal once Brionac is down. There's no way people would've missed it even in /yell chat. But I usually insta-remind people if they end up calling the same direction before we start to split up.

Those who never said anything are the one that annoys me more than anything because not only I can't see other players' names to see if there are any stragglers coming along with us; I have no clue where the h3ll these players are heading to. There could be enough players to form 4 full groups but one of them decide to do either East or West without saying anything because it's the easiest and the closest site then end up screwing a potential 6/6. Then when they got called out to prioritize intercardinal after failing, suddenly the pettiness level is Jedi.

Note to self: whenever you take bets from the party as to what boss you'll probably have an alliance wipe on in LoTA, it will usually be quite close to happening. Also note to self: stop taking bets, you've already lost 6 coffees.

Not LotA, but I saw a wipe on Amon a couple days ago to his big flare because the frog'd people melted every ice block that spawned.

I lost what little faith I had left in ST that day.
