I would be more surprised at her being alive than dead. It's been A WHILE, and the Ifrit-worshipping Amal'jaa both A: love to summon Ifrit, and B: love to use human sacrifices for it.
But yes, I do absolutely agree with checking out old ARR stuff especially. There's a lot of stuff that ARR states as fact or lays down to build on later, that a lot of people just don't retain because it's said before we have any context as to what's important.

Where do you get the "human sacrifice" bit from? They certainly love to offer people's souls to Ifrit and increase the number of worshippers, but no mention I can recall of physical sacrifice, and there are a number of living tempered people around Zanr'ak – there's a whole encampment of tempered Flames who don't seem to be prisoners.
It's not the Amalj'aa, but Ga Bu's parents were sacrificed to summoned Titan in 3.4.Where do you get the "human sacrifice" bit from? IIRC the original three primals extreme fights have a human sacrifice component to them.Where do you get the "human sacrifice" bit from? I believe the trigger/summoner is that, but the actual primal can consume the aether of others. I want to say that was the deal with Ifrit- he would temper and/or consume people’s aether. Especially those tempered seem to willingly sacrifice themselves for their respective primal.

All things considered, she's probably far too gone by now. It's mentioned in the 5.55 MSQ that if a tempered is exposed for an extensive and repeated amount of time, there isn't any hope for them. This is seen with the Garleans at Carteneau. She's likely been exposed to Ifrit repeatedly based on her state of mind when she was found.
Hello, if you're reading this, then you should know this isn't part of the post.

I don't believe this is based on time tempered, since there's no way those Garleans were tempered for longer than a month or so max while Ga Bu was tempered by Titan for several times long as that. I'm pretty sure it's more to do with the repeatedly tempered part and given how Loon Gah's mother doesn't seem to have any lizard-like traits, it's not impossible she could be untempered based off of that. All things considered, she's probably far too gone by now.
