It's time (Option to Hide other players Glamour)

Have the people who want this feature considered for a moment that an option to turn off other peoples glamour might not solve their problem of other people existing in an MMO? If someone really wants to dress in revealing gear then, when outside of combat at least, there is nothing to stop them using glamour to display one set of revealing gear over another. So even if you could turn their glamour off, you'd still be stood looking at their ass.

So, aside from this idea being the antithesis of what an MMO is (other people existing in a shared world) it has a flaw in the concept so big you could drive a bus through it.

If someone wanted to troll (like that would ever happen huh?) They might even glam modest gear over the top of revealing gear when in town just to trigger the puritans.

You already live in a world wherr your privacy is largely violated on a daily basis you just so happen do not know or notice.

In the end people already alter the appearance of others, so once again you are getting worked up over the possibility that the person you are interacting with just so happens to be one of those forces that alters the game state for their own enjoyment.

First of all, just because it happens doesn't mean it's ok or that I'm fine with it.

Secondly, there are various degrees of privacy violation, some don't affect me much on the daily basis, but some would make me furious. Getting my personal info fed into an ads distribution system? Big deal, I blocked all ads anyway. Peeping into my house? Now we have a problem.

Thirdly, I would rather the possibility of having my privacy being violated to be as minimal as possible. I don't want the government to not only tolerate privacy violation, but actually facilitate it. There is a different between have 1 peeper in a population of millions that may or may not look into my house, and having half the population being peepers since everyone has easy-to-access peeping equipment provided by the government.

End of the day you are still getting bent out of shape over the mere possibility that people in a video game may not see your drip or style. With that being said never said you were okay with it, but the reality is it happens, so crying foul because the mere possibility of more people doing it seems weird to me cause why should the volume of players altering the appearance of others just does not seem to mesh with me. Like why get upset, if someone does not want to see me if a pink frog suit how exactly should that negatively impact me? Unless you are saying your own self worth or existence is tied to how many people see your overall drip and style choices? Which I do not think is the case, so in the context of the video what exactly are you showing outrage because someone does not want to see what armor choices you think look nice together.

What I am trying to get at outside of catching them streaming or if they say something you will never really know if someone is using the option to change the appearance of your character so what exactly are you getting upset over? You could easily just assume that not many use the feature and go on with your day only way to get offended is if you feel majority of the people will use the feature, then at that point I just have to ask why would you even think that?
