Is there a conspiracy for lvl capped players to ignore materia?

The expert roulettes give you free materias, extracting is easy, yet almost no players I see use materia. Am I taking crazy pills? Also your soulbind is faster when you have materia equipped do what's the deal? Someone please explain why so many choose to not have extra power?

Most people you meet in normal dungeons, trials and raids are casual or new players doing it for the first time.

They do not understand what materia is. They do not understand what it's for. They do not understand how to meld. Stats overwhelm them. They don't know what a BiS is or how to look it up. They probably don't care to look it up because they just want to enjoy the game and the story.

Sometimes I link people a Grade 4 Tincture of Strength and their draw drops and they go to buy one. Most people just don't even know this sort of extra power exists.

It only matters in extreme, savage and ultimate and to be honest, people get away without it in this sort of content too.

If that's the case why does SE give away top tier materia like candy in normal 80 dungeons ?

I can't speak for the entire playerbase, but I only meld gear on jobs I play consistently and consider my mains.

Also, for a long time I was convinced that extracting materia would destroy the piece of gear. Yes, you can laugh. At least I learned.

Honestly, is it really that important for normal dungeons anyway?
