the reality is the WoW forums seem to have set an exceedingly low bar for this. and after being brainwashed for years about how this game sucks, they think little effort is needed to rile up weebs

I would not call it a weeb thing, but this community has always been like that. They are very overly sensitive. So trolls don't got to try, and the ones that do. People STILL talk about them even if they not around anymore.


It is part of the price to pay with how over protected players are ingame.

ya, but also calling people out for wasting time blah blah. Point is that it is not a bad thing the game babies and protects people. The community is better for it. If they are overly sensitive for it. Small price to pay.

I mean.. would you rather have it the Blizzard way? Where no matter what.. you know nothing will be done. Asmongold on his first day in FFXIV rolled his eyes and tried to bear with the bullshit thinking the GMs wouldn't do shit.. because they wouldn't in WoW, only to see the issue of people actively trolling him get quickly nipped in the bud here.

GMs doing their job is something you should want. And frankly I find the idea of 'people are over protected' to be silly, if you decide to be an asshat to someone in game.. I should be able to report you and expect that (even if I will never be told) you'll be taken aside for a little chat about it with a GM.
