I would probably change to a midlander so that I can have my eyebrows back.

That alone would be worth the cost of the Fantasia.

I would enjoy being able to just breath. My lungs are half shot.

I’d be happy. The only thing I’m having strong reservations about is the whole ‘adventuring’ thing, I’m too big of a scared rabbit to plunge myself into dungeons, or face Primals. I’d stop at every corner, ask whether we can go home now every 5 minutes, and scream whenever an enemy pops up. Weaving, alchemy and reading and writing grimoires sounds fun tho. And living in a small but comfy apartment in Ishgard. Yes please!

Given the game setting I'd probably adventure, go into dungeons, and possibly fight primals... However it wouldn't be because of any of the "good" our character does in game. I'd be doing things for my own curiosity and research and failed experiments would probably result in events leading to a new story line for the would be "hero" if it didn't end out in a new calamity before then. It's not like I desire to watch the world burn. But it's readily apparent before even starting that I would experiment with things to understand aspects of that world better that could very easily go horribly wrong... >.>

There's no reason you couldn't do this, the active adventurers would need supplies, would they not? I can't remember if the ability to teleport is something unique to the WoL or not but having the ability to quickly travel around the world would make for some interesting and lucrative business opportunities.

Personally, I wouldn't make a living going to the areas that are actually dangerous such as high level dungeons. Exploring the world and gathering things from different places would be enough for me.

Don't forget that we would resurrect at our home aetheryte just as we do now so in that way we'd be effectively immortal. I wouldn't want to deal with the pain of having some beast's fangs bite through my chest though...

Indeed! If I were to adventure it would be on my terms, for my own curiosity, and to learn how the world works with all the magic and other physical laws that we don't have here on Earth. I'd pray that Dragoons wouldn't suffer falling damage.

It's occasionally mentioned that other characters can teleport, but not nearly as often as the WoL, who has abnormally high anima reserves.

I believe its basically a matter of training to do so. I think Yshtola said something about Thancred no longer being able to teleport because of what happened at the transition between ARR and HW.

Thancred's aether balance is shot as a result of getting lost in Y'shtola's Flow spell in 2.55-3.1. He can't manipulate aether, leaving him unable to teleport, or to charge his own gunbreaker ammo. If you bring him along as a Trust without Ryne, he actually won't use any of the enhanced cartridge attacks (it's purely visual and doesn't affect his damage, but it's a nice touch of continuity).

I'd probably stay as I am. I've always loved the "elfy" aesthetic, and being pulled into FFXIV to BE an elf would make my life.
