Confusing Restricted Names

I made Moses one time and when I tried to name him Moses it wouldn't let me so I had to name him Oldtestament Prophet.

I would be very surprised if "Moses" was the problem, unless there's some extra meaning to the name that I'm not aware of either.

Did you try it with any other surname options? More likely it was spelling something obscure between the end of the forename and the start of the surname.

If I was creating a game I would blacklist names of famous religious figures because sometimes people use those names with the intention to cause offence. I have seen that sort of thing happen already in other games. It's much less of a headache for game customer service and players to deny access to those sort of names, than to risk the fallout that can happen from their misuse. Especially if an incident became famous in social media.
