Mentor roulette changes planned for EW? Removing MSQ from it?

Hey guys,

I can't be the only one very annoyed when I get MSQ through mentor roulettes. I became a mentor to help new players through NN and mentor roulettes, especially EX content. I love guiding/teaching sprouts on how to kill EX trials.

But when I get MSQ, it's literally a nightmare. It's the most boring content I've ever seen. Being stuck 40 minutes in it is not fun at all, and the new players clearly do not need any mentors to clear it.

Do we know if any changes are planned for EW? I would be happy if they add a setting to get only EX content.

Being a mentor means helping through ALL content not stuff you get to pick and choose. You are signing up for whatever content is needed.

I agree with OP. There is only a few spots that tend to stump new players and usually only for a short time, barring the occasional player that is just lost in the sauce and somehow going backwards through the dungeon rather than forward.

At the very least, Prae can be dropped. It's not like it is a long que for any class.

I know, I know, "You signed up for mentor roulette this is what you get...!"

But it's just one, simple and overly long dungeon amongst dozens when mentors already have the potential to que into things most players cannot. Give mentors a break

I think I'd feel less fussed about getting Castrum/Praetorium in mentor roulette if the roulette bonus was tied to clearing one of the instances period instead of specifically via the MSQ roulette.

Effectively, this. It's literally the point of being a Mentor and why it has so many requirements getting into it. It's also why the rewards are what they are.

You're playing a video game, why would you do things you don't enjoy? And calling it a nightmare is a wee bit much, don't you think? I do these dungeons weekly and I find them relaxing, plus satisfying whenever I get to help new folks learn the game. I'm not even a Mentor.

Roulettes are there to fill queues. If you don't like what's in the roulette, don't run it. If you run it, don't complain about the results; you knew you could get it, you accepted that it could happen and you still chose to run the roulette. Stop complaining about getting something you don't like.

There are other ways to get those tomes.

I'd gladly take the 2 MSQ Dungeons with unskippable cutscenes over synced EX primals with randoms who don't wanna listen to your advice anyday of the week (Ramuh and Shiva EX parties being the biggest offenders here).

Already burned out to the seventh hell telling people how to clear the mechanics properly, only for some of them to hit zero HP by the same mechanic time and time again (people not going to their respective waymarks/CW for targeted ice + circle aoes, and people not stacking closely behind Shiva during her Bow Phase to keep it simple for Glass Dance and Avalanche, are a few examples.)
