I have to admit, i much prefered how they made Charr and Worgen (In WoW) compared to the Hrothgar just for the fact that you could run on all fours.
Made much sense with their appearence for me (and also with the fact that they always looked hunchebacked)

I think it’s cause they also boast a unique look. Not a lot of games allow you to boast a truly bestial or non-humanoid aesthetic. People tend to refer to them as ugly cause they’re outside of being conventionally attractive.

In addition, people tend to play characters they find attractive. It’s why a lot of male players play female characters and vice versa.

Me? I just play what I find cool af. It’s why I wanna play a buff cat lady when hroth gals drop.
