I even had a friend watch it and they're saying that it looks like he's just narrowing his eyes *shrugs* not going to say you can't see it your way but that's the way its looking to me.

I think you need to get you and your friend's eyes checked, personally. His eyes aren't narrowed at all.

If you want to see Emet with his eyes narrowed, go back to when he's grilling the Scions before Amaurot. Or a little forward when he's trying to keep his eyes on the WoL as light shoots out of them from combining with Ardbert.

An interesting theory, but not one I agree with. I'm personally of the mindset that Azem's Amauratine name is in fact Apollo. Why Apollo? Apollo has been attributed to many things in mythology. Archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, etc. He is also the patron deity of Delphi, where he is a god that helps those in need and wards off evil, and is also the patron of travelers of the sea, foreigners, and protects fugitives and refugees. Quite literally, Apollo has so many things under his belt in mythology that it'd make perfect sense for that to be Azem's Amauratine name.

Just because his eyes are narrowed doesn't mean you're wrong about the entire thing. Take a step back and calm down.

And in any case, if it is accurate that he's ashamed to look you in the eye while saying that, how would that suggest "brothers" any more than "close friends"?

To me it looks like his eyes narrow and he looks away in either shame or reflection - to me it looks more like reflection than shame, considering Emet has a very "perpetually angry" face it's hard to read emotions.

I figure that with the combination of his voice actor ( in English) sounding angry he's angry too lol and yeah he does seem to either have a resting angry face or a resting bored face at all times.

Just because his eyes are narrowed doesn't mean you're wrong about the entire thing. Take a step back and calm down.

A few things.

1. He had just closed his eyes completely, and then opened them. They open to the averted gaze.

2. His gaze is still averted. He's not looking at the player character from the time he shuts his eyes, until Urianger and Y'shtola butt in.

3. Your trace or trace program hasn't accurately traced the movement of his irises to the lower right corner of his eyes, and also didn't account for shutting his eyes and reopening them. They also made his pupils too large. Nobody narrows their eyes in anger by fully shutting them and then reopening them to be pensive. It's cool that there's an ever so slight difference in his eyelids opening, maybe, but that's most certainly not the point.
