Steps:
1. As a Scholar, Unequip all armor and soul crystal
2. use Fantasia and re-edit character
3. After logging back in , the Scholar Soul Chrystal will be unusable.. not permitting class change into scholar.
4. UI will say that Arcanist is needed to equip SCH soulstone even if Arcanist is current class
*Add more steps if necessary

I believe you need to equip a weapon useable by ARC and SCH and that should do it

ARC is archer, you mean ACN!
But yeah you're information is right, they've gotta equip a proper SCH weapon, not a soul stone. The SCH weapon will auto-equip the soul stone.

This is also a good reason to use gear sets!
Don't need to worry about anything like this if you just press your gear set.
