Chat Bubbles In Game!! Will Make Community Better

I really want the devs to understand how much this simple addition would improve existing in their game world.

Atleast add an option turn on/off chatbubbles

This will make the game so much more enjoyable for all platform

- Walking into Orgrimmar or Ironforge with it on was just fine. "Chat bubble screen flood" was never an issue in WoW. You'd zone into a packed city at peak play times and there would be one or two folks (out of a hundred or more) talking with /say in chat bubbles. Usually the same few folks, day after day.

- It's literally the same here. I zone into Limsa when its packed, and there's always the same three or four people using /say, while most other chat comes up in yells or shouts or general or whatever those channels are called around here (not big on chat config... yet.)

Chat bubbles would be a cool addition to this game.

As usual, with most ideas about benign optional QoL features, folks who don't particularly want chat bubbles shouldn't feel any need to stand against their addition. If they were optional, you could turn them off. If a single soul benefits from them, and those that want to can remain unaffected, then they're a positive improvement. It doesn't matter if one personally thinks they are stupid or a waste or bad or whatever. Some people would like them, and those that don't can uncheck the box.

To stave off all the possible angst that comes from changing a menu option, I'll personally compensate, in gil, for time spent unchecking that box. Look me up on Goblin should optional chat boxes come to pass and I will kindly give anyone 2 gil for that second they spent on my (our) behalf. Wouldn't want anyone to waste precious time without being compensated. /s

I do want to see chat bubbles. I don't think we've gotten an update since the PS3 Limitations era, so curious to see if they can be done now.

Honestly that was the strangest thing coming into this game. No chat bubbles.

What is Strange about it! Easier to talk with the people infront of u .. isted search in box Where 40 others talk at the same Time..

Do it like they do in world of Warcraft have a general chat for people who wanna talk to entire region and chat bubbles for people who wanna talk next to each other

Speak for yourself i hate looking down in chat it is all same to me cant even customize it better to see who is not npc and such.

I want chat bubbles since i look at me/world and if i say /someone say things it comes from theri character already like if you would talk to them face to face.

Npcs have them give me option too as well.

You know that you can filter the chat log, change colors for specific messages, add timestamp to them, change which tab you get which message, turn off stuff that you don't need in there, add notification sounds to specific messages and even change the size of the log, right?

Anyway, I don't mind them adding it if we can turn it off immediately.

Not everyone hangs out in Limsa all the time.

I found the speech bubbles handy in WoW in combat content. I'm not looking at my chatbox when I'm in combat, I look at the arena. And if I see a speech bubble pop up in the arena well then I know right away someone has said something. Without speech bubbles I do miss what is said in chat quite often when I'm in combat.
