Coomerism breeds groomerism. Game is absolutely filled to the brim with predators, and an extremely disproportionate amount of them originate unsurprisingly from the ERP/Modding scene. With people joining the game explicitly for the erp/modding scene, we will only see more and more of these types of people.

Also, like half the time I see someones gross mods is because some socially inept coomer decides the non-nsfw screenshots channel of one of my raiding discords is a great place to share their latest 'photoshoot'. The ERPers that enter my community basically never understand what boundaries are, never have a filter, and I always end up getting DMs about how people are getting creeped out or creeped on by them.

Sounds like your raiding discord needs better moderation. Hate to break it to you but losers and socially inept people exist everywhere (horny or not). Your anecdotes do no service to this thread.

Shockingly enough, people who can't maintain IRL relationships and have to turn to virtual ERP for gratification tend to have, on average, worse social skills than the general population.

I mean, I know someone who ERP's because in their country it's illegal to be gay, so online interactions are basically the only place he can get that sort of action without risking being thrown in jail.

Obviously that's not the majority of people, but you can't judge the entirety of a community because of a few creeps, because those creeps exist on any sort of game where you can communicate with strangers
