Covid is still a thing in the US too. But shhh half the country won't get vaccinated so the other half can't have nice things. But hey Halloween lol!

And people wonder why I'm embarrassed to be an American sometimes. Often, actually. Regularly....daily. It's sad.
In the 1940s our collective heads got so friggin' big you could see them with the naked eye from the surface of Neptune. We vanquished the 'evil' from the Earth. We killed a couple hundred thousand innocent people in two brief flashes of light - fear us. Our economy boomed. We were proud to the point of hubris. To the point of egotism. 'Everyone should want to be us," was how many of us actually thought and behaved.
Fast-forward eighty years, and we still have extremely huge egos, as if we are some kind of shining example for the rest of the planet. Obsessed with guns and violence, lying about our sexualities and sex drives, education ranked poorly, poverty ranked quite high, extreme social issues, the ever-present hubris, questionable and downright evil leaders, suicide in the top ten causes of death, obsessed with freak occurrences that only happen to one in a million people. Racism where there shouldn't be any. Obsession with racism where there actually is none. Building hundred-million-dollar war machines while hundreds of thousands of our citizens live on the street and suffer from mental illness. Celebrating past savage behavior because of "tradition" (the next guy celebrates it, so I will too) and worshipping documents written 250 years ago like a religion. Documents, I might add, that were written by people who likely couldn't pass a high-school equivalency test in 2021 because they simply didn't have the education and science that we have today.
(I guess this shouldn't really surprise me given that many people do literally base faith and worship around documents that are thousands of years old -- but I digress.)
1940s "Greatest Country on Earth" hasn't existed in fifty, sixty years. The Vietnam era is where it all quietly decided to start sliding downhill and got us close to the edge of the cliff. Social media went ahead and gave us the last shove, right over the cliff, when our individual citizens gained a global voice and started to share their innermost feelings with the entire Earth, thereby revealing how psychotic, delusional and antisocial we can actually be as people.
Example: OP with their 50-to-1 argument (at time of posting, 1 like on OP and 50 likes on the opposing opinion) being completely unaware that their opinion wasn't at all 'mainstream' nor would it be supported by a bunch of folk. This is how many of our citizens think. 'Murica is the center of the universe; all other countries are secondary and should plan accordingly.

I know you put that /s there but I'm pretty sure there is overlap between people who wont get the vaccine and those who buy those whatchacallems that you put in the seatbelt lock thing to stop the seatbelt alarm noise because that's a thing.
So glad my sister was wearing a seat belt or she would have died from head trauma, as it was she sustained a brain injury. So glad I took the vaccine my neighbor died of covid and no wasn't vaccinated. Didn't see the /s the price of freedom let's people live in their ignorance guilt free I am afraid

I mean shouldn't take the US long to burn to the ground if you consider how many of these gender reveal parties are celebrated out there. At some point there are enough wildfires that even fandaniel would be impressed that we create a better "the final days" than him. He needs primals and all that, all we need are a bunch of rednecks and karens and some makeshift fireworks. So glad my sister was wearing a seat belt or she would have died from head trauma, as it was she sustained a brain injury.
