PLEASE change the "smoke cloud" effect behind flying mounts!

Never noticed this, so I just tested it. All I get is a faint light colored mist following my mounts. I have to look carefully to notice it against most backgrounds. No way it blocks anything.

However, I could see it being a bit annoying like some WOW mounts (I can't use Ashes of Alar due to the bright streamers flapping in my face.. )

Then you are likely playing on different settings, because it's massive on mine.

If the mounts didn't have this effect when flying, some would look like they're just sliding trough the air... This effect makes flight dynamic and it feels like you're actually flying, removing would make flight look really cheap.

I have actually seen how it looks with the smoke effect entirely disabled and no, the mounts would still look like they are going fast because they have wind distortion effects on things like wing tips, retaining the feeling of fast mobility without putting a giant smoke cloud in your face.

I think it's supposed to represent humidity rather than smoke... but I agree with the OP: toggles are good.

The ice particles on Fenrir make it so I've never really been able to use it much since they added the flight ability to it. It's like a non stop barrage of garbage in your eyes.

Yep-- I absolutely love them.

Plus, on the PS5 haptic feedback via the DualSense controller, one actually feels the air turbulence once the "smoke" appears-- that's incredible programming.

I would like to toss my hat in the ring to get this added as an option. The cloud effect is very irritating on most mounts. I would love to be able to turn this off personally.

Even griffins have to pass gas sometimes. Everybody does it now and then, lets not embarrass the mounts any more than they already are.
