This is something that has affected me on numerous occasions. If nothing else, the option to turn it off would be appreciated.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
This is going to be one of those things I never noticed before but now cannot stop noticing, I can feel it.
Anyway, if it’s really bothering you I hope they see this and make it a toggle.

I know what you mean.
I felt the same way where a friend pointed out to me that only our chocobo mounts leave footprints.
And even then only some of them do (fat & fat black ones don't).
At least the footprints only cause issues in a limited amount of places!
As something that has ALWAYS AND FOREVER IRRITATED THE HOLY HECKIN STUFF OUT OF ME, I second this.
I like the effect. But I would like a toggle for those that do not.
Yeah I also find it annoying and try to always have my camera off-center when flying, but of course it just snaps back. I like the little trails that some wings make when flying, but the weird puffs of smoke just obscure my view. It also seems way too big and shapeless to really be coming from whatever you're riding.
Why are you flying a Griffin, with no particle effects, inside a volcano with smoke and ash swirling around? I think I see the issue xD

I have never had an issue with this. Maybe a toggle if the devs ever see the need but I'd rather not use Dev time for this. Just use a different mount.
