I think most of the items on sale are reasonably priced. Sure, some of the mounts could use a bit more of a cut but they have zero incentive to do so when people will buy them anyway. It is what it is. *shrug*

It's extremely showy and has sound effects and LARGE effects.
.. yes I have it. Yes I feel like it was worth it.
I think it's pretty much what they would have included if they ever made a Bahamut statue.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?

I don't think you know what "prohibitive" means.
The fact that the items sell in droves at their normal pricing kind of ruins your statement.
Not that I'm against lower pricing, but I don't really buy much from the shop anyway, nor do I really care that it exists since it's just mostly meh cosmetics.

Yes everything in mogstation is really expensive for what they are.
But they're selling them at that price because a lot of players still buy the stuff. Paying 5 dollars for an emote that isn't even account wide is ludicrous. But again, people buy them. And so many people pay for the mogstation items that SE keeps adding more and more to it at high prices.
So don't blame SE for this. Blame people who pay for it. But then you'd be trying to tell people how to spend their spare money, which no one likes.
I'm surprised people still complain about them. Especially on the US side, where a lot more players buy such optional things than the average on the EU/JP servers.

ESO and SOLO were mentioned in the thread- a bit weird to compare the pricing of the mogstation with those games in that context since the sub in ESO is optional and straight up gives perks, and SOLO does not have a sub.
im baby
and we get way more content because of that. Compare eso expansions to final fantasy and all the content patches we get. Higher quality for the prices. So it is very much worth it.

I do definitely find a lot of the stuff on the store to be overly expensive for what it is, and I do wish they would have more far reaching sales more often. They used to have regular sales and the discounts were sometimes very high but I can understand why they don't. It's basically the Steam Sale effect. If people know that they'll be able to buy something in a few months for 50%+ off, they aren't going to buy day 1 or at full price.
It does suck though lol

I would say they are sort of middle of the road pricing. Some stuff is cheap enough others a bit too costly for my taste, I did buy a few things now they are a bit cheaper though. That carriage is mine now muahahaha. Overall so long as all mog station money goes back into the game it does not bother me. Plenty on the shop I still wont buy... costs too much! In the end its all optional, most of my glams are all with in game items. Mounts I use, same thing.
