They also said the delay of 1.20 wouldn't affect the release date of 1.21... yet here we are at 1.21 being delayed by a month. I can guarantee that 2.0 WILL be delayed if they keep following this pattern. They say it won't but it will.
For sure. 2.0 will make or break this game really...if they start it off by delaying it...D=
I'd love for you to list your main character rather than hide behind a mule you foolishly purchased for the sole purpose to act like a completely obnoxious person on these forums.
Anyway.....
I am not always negative with SE. I give credit where credit is due. I don't mind delays what-so-ever like some have complained about. However, lately the developers have been making unintelligent decisions and have been completely overlooking customer service. Honestly, I don't even think it crosses their mind. The first merger setup was admittedly worse on the current customers and future customers and easier on the development team stating that it was easier for THEM to implement. That's not acceptable policy for a now pay to play game.
I think you seem like a intelligent person. You should know the difference between being negative and giving constructive criticism even if it seems harsh. It's harsh because that's the scale of how ridiculous it is and if it wasn't then there would be need for them to change it. There have been many things implemented that got great back lash and still pushed through. This is because of the developer's confidence in their work. As far as the mergers go, they obviously knew it was a cop out and that's why it was quick in it's reform and why we should get loud.
Lastly, I know there are circumstances not known by any of us under when or how this information reached famitsu. However, the way it looks makes it seem like it was known through this entire week that it was delayed probably even more time before that.

I've always wondered why so many people think that option 4 was the easiest for the Devs when they clearly say it's not.Why We Didn't Go With Option ①~③
Option ① would be the most straight forward option and also it’s also the option that we can execute with the least cost. However, this option was most likely not a viable option for the players in Europe. Also, we believed it was too forceful to merge the Worlds based on population as it might also cause a lot of stress for the destination World. Overall, this would be the safest way to go.
Here's the full script, just in case.

I agree that is was wrong with how the initial decision was made. However SE quickly revised their plans when the community reacted. There are many developers/publishers out there who don't care enough to even do that. Please note that my post wasn't necessarily directed at you. Its very easy to be apart of the mob mentality around here.I am not always negative with SE. I give credit where credit is due. I don't mind delays what-so-ever like some have complained about. Sometimes it is hard to see the forest through the trees. Honestly the XIV dev team has been overworked to the point of exhaustion trying to restore the good graces of the final fantasy fan base. Sometimes ill decisions will be made, and not necessary with the worst intentions at heart. That is why the community is here to speak up. It easier to make blanket accusations against SE than sit back and looking at a larger perspective. Criticism is great, as long as its constructive. However the community at large here and in-game are usually complaining without offering any suggestions for improvement whatsoever. That my friend isn't criticism but whining from incessant cry babies.I think you seem like a intelligent person. That is exactly my point. Instead of everyone here irrationally saying "ZOMG SE KNEW THIS AND ONLY TOLD FAMITSU!!!11", lets look at the other possibilities like non-entitled adults do.
I still find it interesting that people help SE to that timeline so strictly, people do realize that things like that are more guidelines then anything. Things happen, people get sick, workstations crash, all this adds up to delays.
