This is the type of comments I attempted to avoid. There seems to be a lot of "Other races exist too" arguments and I'm just stating now, it's not a relevant argument to make. Your race is not defined by a specific fashion sense as the Miqo'te were only implemented in FFXIV while the Viera have been around for many years and having feet that digitigrade therefore need heels, I am trying to keep my appearance of a stereotypical viera.I dont see why this should be exclusive to only Vierra. I have many trousrees/skirts that get cut off by wearing certain shoes. Like the 2B shoes. The armor chest version completely cuts of any type of pants you wearing. And the only cut off versions are the set pieces you cant wear on crafters/gatherers.
They should focus on the ability to be able to wear boots under or over pants respectively. And not on an exclusive pair of shoes only Vierra can wear.
Like I previously mentioned a couple times and even in my OG post, the viera are known for their heels. - I know FF14 is obviously the first game of the franchise for a lot of people therefore have no general idea about the viera, but I previously played the games where Viera's have a distinctive fashion sense and that is down to their heels and clothes. You will never see a human or any other race in the FF series wearing Viera heels or clothes.
I am only asking if we can have an option crop our already-existing standard heels so we can keep one our distinctive viera feature. I am not asking the developers to work overtime and come up with a closet-full of shoes only for the viera to wear, I am not insinuating Square Enix shouldn't make heels for other races so please just leave the irrelevant topic of other races out of this discussion, I tried my hardest to avoid people saying "Heels for everyone" by overly-explaining everything to the best of my ability in my OG post.
The viera having the option to crop down our sandals will not ruin your game, it will not cause riots, it has no downsides other than the people who don't realize that if its such a big deal then fantasia's exist.

in thinking about it, sure, this is a reasonable request if they also give viera lore appropriate feet as well.
The developers, according to numerous sources, suggested that viera's having digitigrade feet is too complicated to implement it in the game. It would have reduced our shoe choices to an unbelievable extent and that is the only reason why the viera's have human feet.
This does not disregard the lore of the race or instantly mean "Everyone should have the viera shoes" - I personally believe if the developers had the chance, time and effort they would have implemented the digitigrade feet. I accepted the fact that I can't use majority of the unlockable hair styles in the game, I accepted that majority of the hats within the game will not be an option for me to wear. The miqo'te on the otherhand have no issues, being the most popular race due to the wide variety of glamour choices and access to both hats and unlockable hairstyles, do not have a right to complain about missing out on not having the standard viera heels.
Like I said, and will continue to preach, my idea will open up more opportunities for outfits to those, like myself, who want to continue looking like a Viera. I also believe if this idea is implemented, it would greatly benefit Square Enix into brainstorming more ideas when it comes to fashion within FFXIV.

Right,
I know there's a sentence in the "welcome to the forum" post that asks 'no bumping the thread' but I believe my thread should be given another chance considering the amount of thought and work I put into it, even went to the extent to learn photoshop. The reason why it deserves another chance? Because I refuse to allow continuous and obvious troll threads to drown out my idea to the point where they are a continuous hot topic, while my own concept is thrown at the back.

not sure heels are worth a ban over myself, but as they say, I dont pay your sub and I am not your mother, so... feel free ^^
It's barely classed as an offence and even so, it can't result in a ban as far as I'm aware, I've read both "Welcome to Forum: General Discussion" and the official link for forum guidelines https://support.eu.square-enix.com/r...la=2&tag=forum
I already stated why I posted that previous message and it's beyond just wanting heels, its because it deserves another chance so more people can atleast comment/give feedback instead of constantly giving troll-threads attention, while genuine ideas/brainstorms about the game are always outshined by these threads that are simply trying to get a rise out of people.

I get that it's kind of an "illusion" where the exposed skin is really just part of the sandal itself and it behaves like every other thigh boot, but compared to other 'closed' thigh boots where the pant legs could feasibly go under the boot and you wouldn't be able to see them, with the Viera sandals it looks a bit more strange because they just get cut off and show your skin instead.
Like you said though, I don't know if this will gain much traction since it only really applies to people playing female Viera but it's a very clear request with pictures and all, so I don't have much else to add other than it'd be nice if they considered it.![]()

If devs make a 2nd version for fem Viera it opens the gate for everyone else to ask for their race/gender to get a 2nd version as well.

I know this is a niche request for select group of players but I like the idea of it for female Viera players. I don’t know how much traction you’ll get but I’m hoping your thread gets noticed.
