You still need to use a prism to put anything in the glam dresser in the first place. instead of doing that, you can just glam the DRK weapon, for example, once instead of putting anything in the dresser. Furthermore, glam prisms cost like 200g to begin with.

Right, I hear you and get what you’re saying, but as someone leveling many jobs right now, the idea of burning any consumable every time I upgrade a weapon is less attractive than just using a plate.
But put that way, going beyond 15 seems less annoying, so thank you for that perspective!

I have all jobs except astro, which I just started, at 71 - 80. I know it's annoying but you just have to compromise on what you use the plates for, and you can always modify them without additional cost.Right, I hear you and get what you’re saying, but as someone leveling many jobs right now, the idea of burning any consumable every time I upgrade a weapon is less attractive than just using a plate.

There's no point to not putting a weapon on the plate, though. You might as well put it there for one of the three/four jobs you could be applying it to – preferably the one that you need to reapply the most.
Also if some of your plates are "situational" glamours rather than jobs (eg. beachwear) then you could have the DRK sword on the tank plate and PLD on the beach plate, and if you need to glamour a PLD sword then you apply the two plates one after the other. The weapon glamour from the second plate won't be applied because it isn't compatible.
You can also apply single glamours directly from the dresser to your current equipment at the inn room or barracks, at no cost.

Good point! I think my problem here is I’m looking at things from the point of view of leveling multiple jobs at a time. How many times do you truly update your umteenth-priority job once all the bulk of the leveling is done?

I just wanna have everything at 80 before Endwalker, I only actually play 5 of those Jobs and don't really care about the glams of the rest.
