Store mount exclusives are bad because it gives companies good reason to reserve cool mount designs for the store. Why? To provide an incentive for players to buy them. Players are much less likely to buy a store mount if they can obtain it by playing the game and they're much less likely to buy a store mount if it doesn't look cool.
What follows from all this is less cool-looking mounts that can be obtained by merely being a subscriber who plays the game.
Players who support store mount exclusive mounts have either not thought things through or are shills.
