Im more upset past event items get removed and put into the store instead. I wanted to get the summer event rewards but they are all in the cashshop now and all prior quests are removed and replaced by new ones. It wouldve been fun to replay old content I never got to experience so Im a bit sad about that. We only got a bear this year that Ill never ride. But the mogs wouldve been fantastic to match with my outfits.

Even if i'm always paying extra, wanting the cruise chaser to stay out of the mog station is wrong? That almost means that this mount will never be avaidable to get via playing the game (well maybe there will be one, but just a reskin not the true one).
You say it's not okay to make Ramuh go in mog station but only because it was a mount from the start. If it wasn't, the situation would be very similar to cruise chaser, would it be okay then?

A lot of ppl are okay with the mog station (like you said it's just extra stuff and that's cool), but it's not perfect, some things that are done in there are dissapointing.
So yes mog station ruins the game quality imo but it's not like it's completly breaking it. It's just less good that all. Not getting the cruise chaser isn't the end of the world but i would've been glad if i could get sutch iconic and cool mount via playing. Like i said above, i see it as the same as picking savage ramuh or titan, not making it a mount and then use it for mog station.

Tbh i'm not thirsty about mounts to the point where i would say " i want to just pay and get x mount rather than playing " so i don't understand the reasoning behing liking the mounts being in mog station. If ppl are so willing to pay for a car, litterally just to pay the sub, get the mgp for the regalia and do the event (1 month sub for 1 mount + litterally every content in game, idk what to add lol). Ppl could ask for the even to return more often or be similar as the Monster Hunter event (why not after all, it was a fun event).
It's the same for the garo mount i'm more interested into farming it (that means just paying my sub, to have many other things outside of the mount) than just using my credit card for 1 thing (20-30$ for just 1 mount?).

I give up waiting for the endless summer set to be available again without purchasing and I give up on hoping do the Shantotto event, I missed that and only done the most recent XI one.

Are we now setting arbitrary measures as to deem what is considered "enough"?

I would rather pay a monthly fee, where the resources go into retaining said fee, and in turn, boosting sub numbers.

I'd wager that FFXIV's numbers are doing quite fine. Also, the money they get from the shop is going back to the game soooo? please don't be like "i know where the money is going" ... no... no you don't!

You buy it with real money, then can either use it for more subscription time, or sell it on the auction house for gold. It's basically RMT.

Spend irl money, earn a token that can be used to pay your sub or other related blizzard purchases. You can sell this token in game to others, meaning it is sanctioned RMT. It is specifically advertised as a major feature too (first party RMT): https://us.shop.battle.net/en-us/pro...warcraft-token

We had a pretty big thread about this long ago, and at the time I think Yoshida said something like he's checking our feedback. Not to say there is no benefits to the system, but I'm still happy we don't have it.

I could see the usefulness of this to get gil if your not interested in crafting or gathering.

But unless it's cheaper to use this token to buy my sub or buy cash shop items then I don't see why a person wouldn't just buy the sub/cash shop items with thier own IRL money and skip the token process.

Yeah we are well aware Square Enix considers FF14 to be a big cash machine and this MMO is heavily monetized. They get away with it because the MMO does not suck. One or Two bad expansions and Square Enix will get Blizzard levels of hate.

I'm personally fine with cash shops if they're cosmetic and the funds generated result in more content in the game. SE has been good on that.

ShB, while amazing in terms of story, however has disappointed me in terms of volume of content. Dungeons cut, deep dungeons cut, Hildebrand cut, Beast tribe conclusion cut, many missing DNC/GNB weapons, still no healer designer on the team, nothing invested into tackling bots and crafting just no longer fun. That's just personal opinion, but while I'm happy paying my sub I don't feel like it's worth my money supporting them with extra funds.

Hopefully it's just Covid and bad resource management and things will pick up in Endwalker. Still enjoying the game so I'll keep optimistic until proven otherwise.

You buy the token for cash and sell it on the market board for gil. Thus it lets players directly buy gil from other players with real money, sort of like legal RMT.

You can buy the token for gil on the market board, then redeem it for cash shop value. Typically Enix gets a cut, so there's profit on every token sold for the company. This lets you buy anything on the mogstation with in game gil alone.

There are benefits to the system, it hits RMT hard and opens the entire cash shop to players for in game currency. I used to be all for the token. However in WoW its also opened the gates for P2W as boosting and carries for gold have skyrocketed. Therefore you can simply buy many things in game, endgame gear, boss kills, mounts, ect with real cash by simply selling tokens to obtain gold to buy them.
