Important announcement about ff14

Due to the overwhelming cost of 1.21 we have deiced to not finish it and make the game f2p.

why is everyone assuming its gonna be like 11's AF quest <.<

I hope it requires a boss fight, (not solo) but a group fight something akin to Moogle or Ifrit in difficulty (hopfully much harder, one can only dream) The biggest dissapointment would be if everyone is running around in full AF in first week of patch.

My guess is that people will be complaining with good reason, because all the new gear/AF ect. Still doesn't compete with 2x meld crafted gear that most of us have.
