    It's normal and happens with most transactions with any purchase anywhere. The bank places the hold on the funds immediately once they are notified that a transaction is taking place. If the transaction clears, then the funds are paid. If the transaction does not clear or is canceled, the bank will drop the hold. However, banks can take some time to release it. I've seen it happen the following day, and I've also seen it take a few days.

    The only place you can get a specific answer is by contacting your bank. A chargeback, however, would specifically be a dispute where your bank submits to SE a request for proof of the charge. That's not what you want to do. You're just asking the bank if they can release the hold because the purchase didn't finalize, which they may not even be able to do until it runs its course.

    TLDR; SE has no control over your pending charge, that's the bank's deal.

    This was established by first reply but I guess you didn't read the thread before commenting.
    I don't know where you located but in my country and i'm going to guess most countries in EU holds the charge for 5-10 bank business days. In my case up to 7.

    With respect I was curious to contact my bank to remove the charge since that's possible with overcharged gas charges (in EU we're forced to be changed 150 euros and then it get adjusted to how much gas we buy, this system often fails so banks is allowed to remove the change and when the transaction get sent to the bank they charge you the correct amount) but was afraid if that would count as a chargeback and don't want my SE account banned, hence the reason for the thread creation.

    I will just wait until mid next week when the charge should be restored and I can try again I guess. I don't think we can put blame on the bank in this case since it was on SE store where the connection broke/didnt get autherized after the money transaction was approved.
