    As a PSA, if you migrate to the PS5 version you only need to download the XIV upgrade client in the Store and link your account to it, it'll migrate you to the PS5 digital version automatically. You MIGHT need to use your original disc in the installation but you won't need it afterwards.

    Be sure to upload your system settings before migrating, or you'll be left with empty hotbars and armory sets

    Just to add for those people desperately trying to get a PS5 right now (which isn't happening for a lot of people this year), you won't be missing much graphically speaking. I know its been frustrating trying to buy one because of the chip shortage and lame scalpers, but for now everyone hang on for this year because there will be a better supply of PS5s next year and (hopefully) it will be the re-modeled version they were talking about which hopefully iron out some nasty bugs the launch version had.
