I don’t think anyone can really top The Balance. As much as i dislike the type of crowd there, their resources are top notch.https://www.icy-veins.com/jobs-ffxiv
^ The more attention this mmo gets the more attention it gets from professional content creators. If this happens with Icy Veins backing it then you can effectively retire every single job discord overnight especially since come Endwalker some of them will not even be supported anymore.
I do not think they will cause drama at all but the FF14 community has been hounding them hard about boosting and ACT being on stream like it has never happened before.
I use them for audio cues as my vision is poor and I can't always see what I need to. Here, you don't need that.No issue with them boosting/using ACT for what they intend to do.
Probably going to be a struggle for some of them. What we saw of Naguura so far is some atrocious gameplay mainly.
More of an issue with Max wanting to use Cactbot (he even asked on MogTalk if it was possible to pay someone to do custom triggers). Kinda defeats the point of going in blind.
Kinda show how those WoW players have grown way too dependant on addons, weakauras and DBM.
You will hear about it either through post here that go something like this "hurrr durrr these world first raider from WoW were using ACT with no ban?!?!?" or in the party finder pretty soon you will see a bunch of people who boosted talking about their 2k RaiderIO score in WoW and how that makes them pro in FF14 easy faceroll content.
Along with the good comes the bad. 90% of the people that will watch this content that try FF14 will be nice and respectful but you will see that 10% that is the typical WoW stereotype just like with the crowd that saw Asmons streams.
But how does any of that matter? Why be upset if they play 14 or if they raid or what percentage of who watched what and now thinks something is/isn't easy. The threads about asmond trickled off because at the end of the day he's just another person playing the game.
Oh no, they cleared the hardest content of the game without sitting through the 90+ hours of story cutscenes to get there! The shame!
Okay I'll bite.lol yeah you figured me out I am using my super power standing at the FF14 gates keeping them out of the MMO...... As I explained in the post above yours these are not some small fry streamers with 50 viewers but very established large streamers in the WoW community with a very large amount of authority with opinions that matter to A LOT of people.
If Max gets done with all of this insanity and make no mistake it is craziness you could see a new flood of not casuals but raiders this time around bored out of their ever loving minds in WoW right now. The idea of being able to instantly gear at max, no time gated secondary systems, PVE vendors, master loots, no BS aoe damage caps and no raid trash is very appealing to a lot of people but they have been told for years it is not challenging.
ALSO if Square Enix does not instantly ban them which they won't these same people will realize add ons are allowed but you have to be careful not to cross a fine line. That is actually a big thing holding a lot of people with barely any knowledge from FF14 from trying. I am still waiting on the pvp wave with Savixx trying it out.
More people in a game is only ever going to be a good thing, outside that who cares how they play the game everyone plays their own way. Like I said why should we care that they have boosted and are raiding outside of the fact that more people will come in. This is the exactly same discussion when Asmon played. When people worry and care too much about who is playing that is when gatekeeping happens.
According to the Twitter thread they posted on also people are paranoid about the toxicity that comes with Icy Veins completely forgetting that toxicity is caused by the developer not even trying to balance their classes.
So the guy is basically going to try and hire those experts who meet the criteria.
I don't know those people.
I don't care about those people.
I very likely will never play with those people.
So...yeah. /shrug Whatever..?
Me too, Erenville, me too
Unless these people start queuing with randoms and continuously mess things up for the randoms, why should we care?
Theyre a *premade group* doing content within their own *premade group*
This does not affect us beyond getting a few more raiders ingame, who will likely remain in the raiding scene. Calm down, the world is NOT ending.
The only drama going on is the unnecessary drama you're trying to stir up with this post.
If more players are here to enjoy the game, let them. It's old content. What they do isn't affecting the rest of us.
Don't lie.
You could have posted that some of the best Mythic players in WoW had decided to joni other WoW refugees in giving FFXIV a try and left it at that. Instead you had to start bringing up stuff that skirts ToS.
You even went so far as to put "drama fest" in your thread title.
You are absolutely looking for the drama.
