For me, they are just like any other player, and since I'll never see them in DF/PF, why should I care?

People like the OP are out there, becoming insanely jelly what newer players in the game are doing. Like harder min ilvl/current content they were/are afraid to do today.

I mean, I wish them the best of luck within the rules of the game. I mean, sure I'd rather them not break ToS, but if it's not hurting anyone and they're not making a big deal about it... <shrugs>.
Hopefully they can challenge the content and get some enjoyment for a couple of months until something else they wanna play comes up. Or if they choose to stay, maybe FFXIV will get some new quality streamers to check out.
Worst case is nothing happens, really.

Thread title oozes the same kinda desperation newspapers have when they say something terrible is going to happen when really they hope it happens so they can report on it.
Who cares OP? Why should we care what a bunch of people who like to raid do?
For stating that you bring this stuff up (constantly) because you think it could affect the game, what exactly will raiders raiding do to this game? What "signal" will it send that XIV has its own hardcore raids? More raiders? They'll just end up doing what our homegrown raiders do if they decide they like it and stick around and I fail to see how this matters beyond more population which is a good thing.
Crackdown on addons due to higher visibility? Nothing would change unless SE wanted to make the client incredibly invasive and that would do more damage to the game than any sort of uptick in WoW players or raiders.

The last few times I mentioned this Square Enix was forced to move up server plans by years and the lead director created not 1 but 2 post about the issue. Also it resulted in some NA and EU servers have 30+ minute queue times with large amounts of lag. I am sorry you seem confused how these issues outside of the MMO from the largest competition spill over to FF14. You are no longer playing in a closed eco system of a bad WoW patch or another MMO barely means anything to FF14 in their own little corner of the internet.
If you have not noticed these types of floods have also increased response times from GM's having to deal with people not used to having a TOS enforced.
This issue will affect how people perceive FF14 raiding for years to come like it or not. The current opinion of FF14 raiding outside of this MMO is that it is easy and any addon usage will get you immediately banned. It is an opinion built on lies spread for years by people with financial agendas and incomes dependent on WoW being the popular MMO.
Personally as someone who has FF14 as their MMO I am cheering all of these streamers on trying out FF14 raiding.

You realize the devs don't listen to people like you, they respond based on situations that arise, yes? As they've always done, with or without our massive WoWfugee migration. They will continue to do so when things settle down again, or if we lose people when other MMOs on the horizon finally release or WoW magically gets its crap together.
Idk man you are absolutely obsessed with XIV somehow "winning" over WoW and as I said, it's genuinely creepy. XIV will proceed as it has always done, with fixes or notices or upgrades given as necessary (even if likely not always exactly when we want them done).
I ain't confused about nothing, I just think you obsess over WoW like it's a bad breakup and really need to focus on yourself and your gameplay more than what everyone else is doing on streams or choosing to migrate for. I welcome all the new players coming in and the raiders trying stuff out, but like... I'm not going to care past "ah good for them". Most people won't.
And you believing this singular group will suddenly bring in Drama somehow is just creating boogeyman. You know what'll actually happen? Nothing! Nothing will happen to them! At best, they'll bring in more raiders to the game, which would be a boon at this point. But all this drama and doomsaying in your first post is legitimately not going to happen except in your own head.
Again, maybe it's time to stop obsessing over what WoW players are doing.

Don't know. Frankly, I don't care. Hopefully they enjoy themselves, but none of them should be surprised if they somehow end up with some sort of ban.

Or since they are using ToS breaking mods/addons. They haven't cared much before but it's still against the ToS. They could change their habits in an instant if it meant preserving the integrity of the company.
There is already a load of people that openly stream with the ToS violating addons and don't get hit with any punishment. YoshiP even said that the way the rule is written, even using discord is bannable. In essence they don't want to ban people for it but have it there as a back up to the harrassment rules.
