Triple Triad - NPC List

There is visual confirmation that you have not beaten an NPC (or gotten all cards yet) - kinda the opposite of what you're asking for, but should work aswell?

Any NPC you have not beaten yet will have a triple triad symbol with an exclamation mark above their head and the same symbol will appear on the map.
Any NPC you have beaten, but still have cards to win from will have a triple triad symbol with a star above their head and the same symbol will appear on the map.
Any NPC you have beaten will no longer have any marker above their head or on the map.

I actually wasn't aware of the disctinction between the '!' vs '*' triple triad symbol -- thanks for that!

Unfortunately, I just spend the last 30 minutes porting around to check every map where I've beaten NPCs to see if I skipped one. No map showed the '!' symbol. My only thought is the '!' symbol is hidden behind a regular quest marker since the NPC might be offering a quest?

A zone by zone list similar to the Aether Currents in Heavensward that listed at least the number of cards remaining per zone would be great. If the characters in the zone were more visible with the varying icons that would probably do the rest of the work. Maybe if they had adjustable map icons so you could filter icons that you want to see?

Like opening the icon list and de-selecting quests, leves, fates, etc. and only leaving what you want, like the TT icons.

While this is indeed useful i think the problem OP has is those TT NPCs who are not visible due to being locked behind a quest. I was doing some unfinished HW quest the other day and by my surprise there was a TT NPC locked behind them. It was a nice surprise for me, but i can see the problem for people who need the achievement/cards.
