Looks like the WOKE has hit the housing boards. If you don't take care of yourself, no one else will.

"Fanboy is gaming jargon used to describe an individual that has gone beyond the point of being a PC or console game fan and, during online chats or discussions, shifts to defend the program at all costs, unable to take any criticism or acknowledge any shortcomings of the game or gaming console."

I'm dubious about that link, really. Where is it going? Why is it linking to a Google search and not a page?
And DVT from "sitting for hours" is surely something common to gaming as a whole, not housing seekers in particular.
and i'm sure there is other factors healthwise etc or most of us would have DVT.

I'm just going to assume it is a way to make a point that the only way to compete for plots is to pretty much use banned macros or bot programs to camp plots rather than legitimately mashing the same button rotation on your keyboard or controller hoping to defeat the hidden random plot purchase timer.
The devs have already mentioned that lotteries and first-come-first-served systems are coming to the game, as well as wards designed purely for FCs and private estates.

The lottery will be even a worse salt mine.... because instead of competeting with 3-5 people... then 500 could put in a lottery ticket, and then you have to add RMT bots as well..I'm just going to assume it is a way to make a point that the only way to compete for plots is to pretty much use banned macros or bot programs to camp plots rather than legitimately mashing the same button rotation on your keyboard or controller hoping to defeat the hidden random plot purchase timer.

I think people have not thought it over, and I think that SE may have overlooked that issue as well, or not taken it into consideration... if bots can smell they can sell property for 200 dollars of FC's or more, they will do it, even if it takes them to grind to x level and completion of stuff.
People should be responsible enough to stop themselves from clicking a housing placard fo so long that it turns into a health risk...
Then they should have made a better system to begin with. Adding housing to the game and only making it available to a ridiculously small portion of the playerbase while constantly giving housing items as quest rewards is seriously insulting.
Just based on your reg date (which isn't always the case, mine says 2018 but I've been around since 1.0) I would imagine you're perhaps new the game?
The system before the invisible timer was fine ish until a blackmarket popped up and it was basically blackmail and RMT involved. They had to step in and do something, while I don't think a invisible timer made it much better.

Nothing to do with the system, it is just matter of supply vs population size (demand)
Your situation is pretty much you board an overcrowded train late (in Aug 2021) and complaining why you don't have a seat but you have a ticket (subscription).
Pretty sure SE introduced this system, thinking its better for the player. Cause people say it used to have a first come first serve system which seems way better then a maybe its 30min or maybe its 24h placard spam.
