PSA Serious health concern for gamers! Players can develop DVT in Housing Savage.

After about 30 mins of selecting the placard repeatedly I quickly realized how tense I was getting in my arms, shoulders and legs from sheer concentration. This is dangerous for people who are susceptible and for very desperate gamers looking for a housing plot of their own since developer leaders aren't prioritizing this for immediate action. The least they could do is lower the timer to a couple hours. This inaction is reprehensible! They are letting/encouraging their player base into serious health risks for in-game houses!

Players in a seated position for too long without moving or taking a drink of water while spending hours to nearly a day long(20-23 hours) straight of button mashing the placard puts them at high risk of developing DVT (Deep vein thrombosis) which is a life threating health crises that happens from developing a clot in your legs deep veins or possibly even your arms and is not detectable or noticeable until within minutes to hours after standing up, and most people won't know until seconds before their possible death when the clot rushes to their lungs resulting in a pulmonary embolism or heart causing a heart attack.

DVT rates are high among gamers especially within internet cafes around the world where gamers(many very skinny) spend up to 24 hours in a seated position without moving or hydrating allowing blood clots to develop.

Please Google it and educate yourself about DVT and be aware of the risks.

    Stay safe fellow W'soL.

Edit: I've also read countless forum posts around the internet of people with carpel tunnel, sprains, and strains from the repetition of button mashing for 6-23 hours straight, all caused by this lazy housing response from the dev leaders.

They're adressing this problem by adding a lottery system with the next expansion. While that doesnt adress the problem of demand surparssing suplly on most servers, it will adress the problem of adults being irresponsible enough to risk their own health over a couple of video game pixels.

Sitting there and clicking a placard for hours is not the way the devs intended this to work, so the lottery is going to adress that. Until then I'd like to remind you that you want a house - not need one, not in general nor for any real ingame progress - and that it is, in the end, your choice to risk your health for that. Please dont do that! But also: Please dont blame the devs for your decision.

Oh, one of these. Dude, use common sense and you won't have to fricking PSA about your health. I think most people are grown ups here, so they don't camp and spam click a stupid placard, or shouldn't atleast.

Man, just relax. A house is useless anyway but not impossible to get. Just be more... Well relaxed about it ^^

I think they should add a health warning like they did in FF11, since apparently people don't get they should stop if their health is at risk.

You can't accuse SE for this by repeated spamming the system with keeping on clickign the same button over and over again, you are responsible for your own health whenever it get to it.

They had that in 1.0. I wonder why they removed it?

Probably cause 1.0 had Tonaka (producer of FF11) until Yoshida stepped in. But I think they should bring it back.

Yes housing system is ultra bad, but stop blaming it because people can't take care of themselve before a virtual house.
That's even more concerning to see your priorities.

Almost everything in life could carry very similar warnings. I'd rather not go down a road that leads to warnings on bottles of water about the dangers of consuming gallons of it.
