General rule of housing is just don't.

If you can't walk up and buy a plot, then don't subject yourself to placard camping. Ever. Get a dumpy little apartment or a FC house room to hold you over, click a placard occasionally, but don't camp.

What if you're trying to get a house for your fc? I'm sure felt obligated to get a house when made i my fc 2 years ago. Sat for 16 hours or so, all night long clicking and clicking with coffee next to me. Even was called a bot at one point cause i was up all night lol

Don't. Do without an FC house or repurpose a member's house in the meantime.

Wouldn't that first require a member to have a house? I looked into player housing a while back, only to conclude that even if I had the gil, I'd never get a house due to there being no available plots anywhere.

On paper this is true but in reality this isn't working consider the lack of workshop, inability to create your own buffs etc.

In any regard I'm happy I got our house but just saying i'd imagine many fc leaders out there is still in same shoes I was back in 2018.

I'm pretty sure our FC would work just fine without the workshop and the selfmade buffs - both are things that everyone in the FC has full access to, yet I'm usually the only person making use of them. While its nice that I can get the goodies from the voyages for the FC, I dont think anyone would have left because they didnt get a Silver Dasher for free.
In regards to the buffs: You get one grade 3 buff every 3 days. Hardly game breaking either. (Grade 1 and 2 can be bought with FC seals - something every FC has probably more off than things to spent them on).

Neither the workshop nor the extra buffs are such a big deal that an FC cant function without them.

IMO It's moot to discuss since I got the house but saying fc who can't get a fc house now cause of the lack of supply and how shit current purchase system is lowkey crapping on people who want a fc house.

Regardless we had our reasons to wanting to have access to everything as a fc even if your fc deems is a waste of time, do you have a fc house and if yes, why?
