Honestly I think there's a lot of "Adventurer" types of gear. Some of the ones you've shown are even from Shadowbringers.

What I think is an issue is that some specific jobs have gaps in the style of armors they provide. If we ever get cross-class glamours in some form, it'd solve a lot of that.

Until we get something like that, people will always lean towards the lvl 1 glamours because they can use the look on all their jobs.

I... really can't get behind this assessment of the Glamour system. One of the things I tend to do is hunt for glamours and I have jobs at various levels on different characters. Lacking a set style really hasn't been an issue. In fact, this could very easily become an "Adventurer's Travel Gear" Glamour thread depicting examples of otherwise.

I tend to like travel-ready gear, particularly on my Dragoon.

We've got a large Roleplaying community in this game. It may not hurt to ask them what they use.

Failing that, look up https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/. You'll be able to see a wide variety of fashion trends and the gear that provides them. There is even a challenge section to make good looks for new players.

Ah yeah I debated back and forth whether to include names or not. In order they're: Infantry set, Alliance Striking set, Foestriker set, Crystarium Fending set, Valerian Rune Fencer set, Ivalician Holy Knight set, and Onion set.

Even the Nier gear has some very traditional fantasy pieces mixed in, and I particularly love almost all of the Heirloom gear from Matoya's Relict.
... while that's true, it's still class-restricted level 80 gear with stats and everything. I would like more of this aesthetic to make it into the level 1 "All Classes" gear we get every now and again is what I mean

They pivoted hard because it wasn't super popular. They seem to value 'glam diversity' in each expansion and do pretty well at it: Most expansions have, for example, some glams that let you go edgy, realistic fantasy, modern, tribal-esque, or 'fantasy punk.'

I would much rather they focus on glam diversity (and perhaps unlock jobs for glams save artifact gear), than to put focus on any one specific 'type' of glam for an expansion.
Couldn't it just be that... the ARR gear just looks bad? Because if we're thinkng about the same low-level sets then yeah, no wonder people didn't like them...

For the record though I'm not asking that they exclusively cater to my tastes or anything, just that there be more options for this kind of look than basically none at all (barring the Crystarium Guard and Feast sets, the latter of which you can't even get anymore)

See above. I'm specifically wishing there were more level 1 "All Classes" gear in this style

That's literally where I got my images from, I'm well aware of Eorzea Collection lol. Just wish there were more universal options...

Yes please. Modern clothes are literally the worst thing to ever happen to this game.

I really don't like the modern glams either, but I don't think the situation is really all that dire.

Aside from many pieces suffering from Accessory Syndrome you can comfortably make tons of high/low fantasy themed adventuring gear from everything in ShB. It's just best not to look at entire sets as a block, instead go "I will use these gloves and boots".

Oh trust me, I make it a point not to use more than one piece from a set per glam if I can help it. On the other hand I'm one of those people who would rather come up with one definitive look per character, and that's difficult to do while playing more than one class.

I'm on board with this. The modern glams clash almost as badly as the joke outfits, but in the end they all make sense within the context of the game's story. Basically we're the zenith of the current civilizations built on top of dead civilizations that were far more advanced. It's not unreal to believe that contemporary fashion and clothing would make its way into the world in one of those past civs, only to come back into existence in ours by way of an old text or photo found.

I would also like to see more fantasy-styled gear for the one-per-patch glamour pieces, rather than the distinctly real-world modern gear.

The recent Scion recruit from the patch quests has the sort of outfit that works better than modern gear – still elements of that style but more ornate and fantasy-esque.

I don't mind having a different look for each class, but being able to mix role-specific pieces with some all-class ones is very helpful for developing interesting looks, and it's harder to do that with a lot of the modern pieces. Things like the shopkeeper apron or the woolen jumpers only really go with other modern-looking gear, some of it quite specific unless you're going for some kind of joke effect.

(The scarf from the Adventuring Sweater would be a great versatile look if it was attached to a tunic instead. But no, you only get to wear it with the knitted jumper that would look silly with anything but modern winter clothes.)

While I own a fair amount of the streetwear available, I agree with you - it's becoming intrusive. The ball caps were kind of a line for me. Do they have a baseball league in Eorzea that I am unaware of?

The infantry set may not have a great headpiece, but the rest is an instant classic, IMO: it's colorful but not garish, has a minimal amount of armor (so it looks as good on a bard as a warrior), and appears to be mostly made out of leather (so it's supple yet durable). Honestly, I think it's one of the best early appearances available in the game.
