Yes, but I'm trying to tell you that is counter-productive. Being able to combine the materia will just end up with more kinds of materia being in existence, because they cannot get rid of the materia they have already implemented in the game.

they woul jsut phase out like they did with crafting. and it sounds like you think i mean the player cobines the materia. thats not what i mean.

I mean, change the stats to the existing materia so they have the bonus effects while removing the materia that are those effect from game.

so add pet resist to str, and remove pet resist from game as a drop.

do you ever convert gear to materia and get a resist, yea, it sucks. if they removed resist from game and added them onto materia as bonus effects then that wouldn't happen anymore.
