Well, it depends. What if in one of the new dungeons you get stunned.... a lot! Double melded stun resist gear might be something I think most people would choose over hp and mp for sure, but it depends on other parts of the dungeon too. Not to mention people can change their gear in combat, did you know? People could macro different gear sets in different situations. No, you can't change your class and you need to be in passive mode to do so, but we don't know what future content is going to be like is my point.

It is opinion to say if something is too easy, but it is the opinion of the developers that also shapes this game. =p I'm not saying your idea is bad, I'm just saying it seems like it would be too powerful and would lead to us having more materia overall, because they can't get rid of the materia people already have or remove it from gear people already melded.
