Moon Fire Faire No Glam?

We get a polar bear? Seriously? I mean I really enjoy the summer outfits this event brings. Is it me or we haven’t gotten anywhere near as good quality glams for seasonal events this entire year?

I know I know, COVID and endwalker but come on. This is deeply upsetting. They cuts dungeons, deep dungeons, ultimates, I wish some effort went into preserving outfits… especially since it’s content everyone can enjoy.

I was really looking forward to this event. I’m really not anymore.

The Seasonal Events as a whole have been downright awful lately, for the most part at least. It's honestly reaching a point where I wonder if they ought to retire a few or at least the storylines typically associated with them. They just don't feel inspired. Like you said, Covid certainly played a factor into this but all the more reason to maybe put some on a break and come back with a little more meat on the bone, so to speak.

Unfortunately content period this expansion has been severely lacking. The events though have seen the worst of it, with them either being merged or skipped altogether. It’s pretty odd to me though, that they’re able to come up with nice mounts like the carriage which really should’ve been an event mount, but for events they just give us recolored mounts that we’ve already gotten. This polar bear is just the christmas one without a hat and recolored lmao. Not to mention it just looks…off. Honestly this summer event might not even have the jumping puzzle again like last year in which case it’s just another flop.

Honestly, I’m of the mind…why the need to make it totally different each time? Why not just add to the event each year a little and make it bigger and better. This is something Guildwars 2 does exceptionally well.

As long as the mini games are not just derp fates, it could be very good.

Also, just let people play the entire story from the original version if they want to.

This is because Mogstation stuff are made by a separate team. The carriage was never intended to be an event mount nor would they give something like that in a 15 minute seasonal event.

Ehh. There is only so much you can do with the same story beats. It isn't like these events are meant to be some big side quest arc. Frankly, I feel their need to keep around the same characters has actually hurt the story. Although, it could be interesting if they made a continuously evolving story you could play from the start each year so new players wouldn't miss out.

This years events have felt pretty poor compared to previous but, I like the polar bear and the housing items :3 Would have loved new summer glam too but I guess maybe next year.

I'm pretty not happy about it, either. I got some of my new friends to come play, and told them a couple times I was excited for Moonfire Faire because they usually have swimwear everyone can get, (I mean, they've done glams for the last three years) and now, unfortunately, that's not the case.

Yeah but the thread evolved, and I explained my bigger issue with the event later had you read on. You're not wrong but you didn't get to page two either xD. This is what I posted in page 2:

"This faire really wasn’t the event to skimp on… they could’ve even done just one nice item like a nice pair of gladiator sandals, a towel around your neck as a chest piece, a ruffled skirt for girls and some stylish shorts for guys, some low cut skin tight jeans and tank top or polo shirt, if it was a mount it could’ve been a dolphin, ATV, dune buggy.

But nope…. We get a re-skinned winter bear….."

Like I just wanted some effort to go into a summer themed event, and would've welcomed a summer mount preferably with a unique model.
