I feel its super unfair that some of us stay up clicking the placard for 10-15 hours to get it taken by people botting. I think I spent 55 hours on just clicking the placard for the past 5 days. 2 house taken today by 2 people botting.

No name and shaming on the forum, that applies to all characters regardless of what proof you have that they're violating ToS. Everyone's aware people are cheating, including SE. Report them in game and/or through the Special Task Force form here (make sure to use the drop down for the correct violation being reported): https://support.na.square-enix.com/c...382&la=1&fty=2
Be prepared to receive no further word on the matter and possibly (likely) nothing to be done at all.
Not that this will change anyone's behavior, but for what feels like the 2000th time: You arent supposed to stand there clicking. The devs designed the system thinking you would see an open lot, click it once, and if it wasnt for sale go back to playing and check back in an hour or two. People can and indeed do use this method to get homes even against auto-clickers, and yes even on the busiest servers. Does it work every time? Of course not - but neither does an auto-clicker. The only click that matters is the one after the house releases for open sale. The game doesnt care if its your first click on the placard, or if youve been hitting it every other second for 18+ hours.
Also worth noting, that the best time to buy a house is when new wards open up. There will for sure be some opening with the 6.1 release a few months from now. Something to think about.
funny little tip: autoclickers are lame, but if someone not using a clicker gets the house, you should message the person to put a retainer near the placard selling trash for millions. a friend of mine basically got a house for free

Nah, most people who use those autoclickers are just desperate players anymore. The people who bot to flip houses use smarter bots now that don't fall for that.
Actually it is not safe if you get reported as, if an auto clicker, and you are not here, then they can move in front of you, and see if you keep on auto clicking... if you do.. bye bye.No name and shaming on the forum, that applies to all characters regardless of what proof you have that they're violating ToS. Problem with that is that it's got to be reported via the ingame tools, but to actually make it stick they've got to report the char name along with the address (house #, ward, and neighborhood) so the GMs know where, who to look for, and can start taking action from there. If someone is unresponsive to the GMs and they can prove that there's an autoclicker being used to a reasonable level of confidence, that account likely goes bye bye.
Listen. People have reported some of the most notorious botters and not a damn thing has been done to them. In game reports, STF reports, dozens sent at once. Sent twice a week for months now.
They're still at it. For years now.
I don't have much faith that reporting anyone for botting will result in any action being taken.
I promise that if I could get that bot to work on my computer, I'd be doing it too. The current system is terrible
