I don't know who this person is (I mean I know he's a well-known WoW streamer but that's it) but I'm glad to see that as a community we can put aside our differences and welcome others to the flock. That's the way it should be.

"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
I got hit with a snowball when I entered Ishgard
Err nah, I disagree. ARR is the first time when we learn that the city states are not so different than the garlean (the 'evil' guy). Limsa has problems with betraying the kobolds, Ul'dah has problem with corruption and syndicate, Gridania is a really racist place that tend to use the "the elementals doesn't allow that" excuse. Even when dealing with ishgard, they only help us because it also helps them in the long run. We also learn, at that time, that some of the garlean is honorable man, that's just unfortunately stand opposite to us.ARR is very one-dimensional. You have clearly a good and an evil fraction. The good are good because the do good things (freedom, peace for all etc.) and the evil fraction is evil because the do evil things like killing and enslaving people etc. This changes with Heavensward. And there a really suprising plot twists.
That is what happens when you have a game designed for fun and you aren't at war with your community.
FF is a delight.
So let me get this straight, when people were griefing Asmongold "they weren't part of the community", but now these players are acknowledged?
WHM | RDM | DNC
You say that like its the very same players that were previously griefing him are now the ones welcoming him as he enters HW expansion.
Those that agitators were dealt with in the first few days as we all saw from various posts and game news outlets
Yep. There's always going to be some bad apples in every community. They are hardly a representation of the FF XIV community or those surrounding Asmongold. His fan base has proven to be obnoxious in the past, but other than crowding areas they haven't been too bad here. FF XIV seems to have that affect on people. It's like they can relax while playing a game or something! Also, he's a pretty big streamer. He's going to have a crowd with him wherever he goes and there's always going to be a couple people wanting their 15 minutes of fame trying to ruin his experience. Like you said though, those people were dealt with before and I'm sure they continue to be. There's little tolerance for this behavior here because the ToS is heavily enforced in most areas.
I will admit, I happen to watch that yesterday and it was pretty awesome. It made me feel proud to be a part of a wonderful gaming community.
Someone logical who actually paid attention in ARR? The rarity of it all…Err nah, I disagree. Oh, the Pride we as a community have.
And you know what?
Pride is a sin.
We all, the whole community will burn in hell for this Pride that We as a community all share.
None will be spared from the flames of hell.
Our flesh will burn, our bones will churn, our soul will be torn asunder.
Look forward to it.
Have a good day, fellow sinners.
I'll see you all in hell.
oh, and if you didn't wanna go to hell?
Too bad.
Thank those who included "Us the community" into this mess.
